With or without Arrington, Miami will contend next year. I have been a Dolphan for my whole life and haven't been this excited for the upcoming football season since 84 or 85. My excitement level for next season is insane and it is only April. BTW, Miami's schedule is pretty good. Buffalo on December 17th is the only true cold weather game on the schedule!!!! Chicago on November 5th is the next closest thing to a late season cold weather game for Miami. FINALLY, the schedule makers don't have us traveling to New York and New England late in the season (@ NY on Oct 15th and @NE on Oct 8th). Plus, Miami finally has a Bye Week later than week 5 (it is week 8 whcih is a nice time of the season for a Bye - especially since they travel to Chicago for the game after the bye)
I like Miami's scedule a lot for next year.
That Nick Saban - I think I love the man
Looks like the Patriots have signed Martin Gramatica (former TB kicker) to replace Vinatieri.
Wow. That's like dropping Peyton Manning for Joey Harrington.
I'd say it's more like trading Manning for, umm, A.J. Feely?
Pats snagged Eric Warfield, former DB for the Chiefs.
Has Ty Law still not been picked up?
Ty Law's still out there
Lavar is trying to squeeze the Dolphins for more money. Dammit, why won't he just sign already? That'd be a huge coup for us.
His stock probably dropped some when LT2 juked him out of his cleats
I don't think Lavar is going to get the money he wants from anyone, so Miami waiting is a good thing.
How much is Miami offering? I heard that the Jaguars were offering something like 10 million dollars.
They haven't given actual numbers for Miami - just that they aren't offering what Lavar wants
Peerless Price signed a 4-year deal with Buffalo. The absurdity here is overwhelming.
-Lavar Arrington agrees to 7 year deal with the Giants
I didn't like the looks of it when he visited for the 2nd time the other day. Oh, well.
Here's a bit of news on that front that I read yesterday: The NFL Network is strongly considering Bryant Gumbel and Cris Collinsworth.
Ricky Manning Jr will be a Bear next year.
I'm sure the Panthers don't mind after he was arrested on suspicion of assault.
-Dolphins RB Ricky Williams suspended for 2006 season (DAMMIT!)
-Packers QB Brett Favre to return for the 2006 season
To the first one: don't care.
To the second: spiffy. I'd like to see Favre go out on a high note.
Favre's team isn't going to be much better than last year. They haven't made any major additions and Walker says he's not going to suit up for GB this year whether he's healthy or not. The Packers aren't going to be any better than 6-10
More butt kissing going on in Wisconsin, I see. Packers 2-14 in '06
Damn fascist NFL. It was a false positive. Ricky's not tokin' anymore. Of course, he kind of brought this on himself.
Favre sucks for the way he dragged this out. His whole premise was that the Packers needed to show a commitment to improving. Did it ever dawn on him that if he had committed to them earlier, that would have possibly attracted some free agent interest from guys who might have wanted to play with him? That would have helped field a more competitive team. Now nothing's really out there.
Good job, Brett.
I'd love to see Farve go out on top like Elway, but the Packers will be lucky if they even have a winning season.
-Charles Woodson to the Packers
About time he got picked up. Now just waiting on Javon Walker and the draft.
