NFL - Game On

Yeah, they originally wanted Micheal Penix in last year's draft. Coach AP was even at the Washington vs Oregon game in LV. Falcons completely shifted that draft.

It should definitely be ratings gold. Especially if Sanders can eventually become a great/elite QB. Obviously Mahomes &Herbert are pretty solidified. Bo Nix is looking like he could be the franchise QB as well... so it could be a lot of fun.
Yeah......in the right offense, Nix will be more than fine. I was watching him the other day and he is SO accurate on those intermediate and medium deep throws, it's crazy......No wonder the guy had a completion percentage of almost "80" (that's not a typo) percent in his senior year.

Trevor Lawrence is out for the season and facing surgery after a late hit by perpetual offender Al-Shaair. Tom Brady is an idiot for suggesting that the offense be penalized for a late slide. Jesus, he's gonna fit in just fine in the Raiders' front office. I watched that play more than once and while it's true that Al-Shaair started to launch himself as Lawrence was starting to slide, he intentionally hit him in the head with his forearm while Lawrence was CLEARLY down. He was almost 4 yards away when Lawrence started the slide and could have easily avoided it. Bottom line is that he was trying to hurt the QB. If I'm the league, he's out for the year.

I think Jacksonville is a virtual lock for the #1 pick. The only question is whether they'll pick Hunter or go for a treasure trove of picks from someone who wants a QB.

EDIT: AND, here's a shot when Lawrence is CLEARLY down (and he was down well before this). Once he even starts his slide, he's protected, and the defender was between 3 and 4 yards away. Whether you agree with the rule or not, that's the rule.

I'm sensing another Pro Bowl performance from "Magic" Mac Jones when the Jags play the Raiders on the 22nd. :funny:

Feel bad for ole Burrow, but he's been lighting it up for my fantasy team at least.

Yeah, he's not a bad quarterback playing on a pretty bad team this year. But like you said, he's putting up decent fantasy numbers on most weeks.

I don't know him, ;but he comes off as kind of an arrogant jerk. Maybe he's a nice guy????

I'm pretty sure they think McCarthy is their guy and they'll have had a year to cram everything they can between his ears. Still, they'll need an experienced QB and after the way Darnold has played this year, they might think he's out of their price range. He's made himself some money this year....that's for sure.

Has there EVER been a worse lineup of early games? :funny:

In a battle of offensive juggernauts, the Titans lead the Jags 6-3 in the 4th quarter.....

"Magic" Mac Jones does it again!!! Jags 10, Titans 6 in the lowest scoring game of the year. :funny: :funny:

We're #1 baby!!!

It looks like the Pats might be in line to get Travis Hunter......You guys have your QB. I'm really impressed with Maye and have been since he was in college. I honestly think he's as good as any QB in last year's draft and bunch him in with Daniels and Williams. He does some things a little better and they do some a little better.

As a Panthers fan, I can't be disappointed in the last 3 weeks. Been in all three games with a chance to win. Bryce Young is playing much better. Still a lot to improve on both sides of the ball. At least were not the worst team in the league anymore! :funny:

With how it's shaking out, I'm going for OL in the first round. They so desperately need a *real* left tackle instead of all these right tackles they keep trying to jam on the left side. If it's this same front office during the off-season, I don't want them anywhere near receiver in the draft. Go after someone in FA or via trade that's already someone who has played at a high level.

Does anyone really need a LT? Mahomes is winning Super Bowls without one. :o

I could see that and they'll have their pick, BUT, if I'm them and have a chance at Hunter, I grab him and try to fix the line in FA. That's doable and I think this guy Hunter could be spectacular.

Man, the GB Lions game was great, but the game of the week had to be Rams Bills......whew......IF the Rams were to win the division, could McVay be coach of the year? Usually that goes to a surprise team and the Rams are certainly that. Any ideas? I'm thinking Quinn with the Commanders, but there haven't really been many big surprises this year.

There are way too many people ahead of McVay for Coach of the Year. Macdonald, Campbell, and Tomlin at least.

Today was just another example of why that QB/HC combo will most likely never win a damn thing. Stupid losers both of them, but especially the coach. Maybe one day Allen will have one that can just not be dumb and he'll win, but we'll see. They're lucky that they even got into a position to score with that BS PI call on the under throw because the QB doesn't know what to do when he actually needs to throw to make a play, and to waste a timeout on a dumb QB sneak? My lord.

My COY list front runner would be Tomlin or O'Connell. Campbell is having a fantastic year and they might be the best team in football, but the Lions were also really good last year. I mean getting this out of Sam Darnold and Russell Wilson is pretty impressive.

I knew I was missing someone. Good shout.

Allen is a fantastic QB. But he gets a lot of the bail out calls people claim Patty gets.

If the Bills want to get to the Super Bowl I think they need to avoid the Ravens, Steelers, and Chargers. All of which I'd pick to beat them. Chefs also have their number in the playoffs. Their record is built on an all time weak division.

Imagine Bills/Ravens in round one. I think Lamar would destroy them again.

Another name of COY. Jimmy for Michigan. He turned that Chargers defense around through sheer force of will.

The Steelers is an interesting matchup and the one I want to see. The same game last year was competitive with a better Bills team against Mason Rudolph. I still think the Bills might eek that one out, but it'd be a fun game. I think the Chargers are a year away from really competing with them and would probably get throttled. The offense just doesn't have the firepower to keep up. Herbo is my guy and I love what Harbaugh is doing with them so much, but they need a legit WR beyond McConkey.

If I'm any of these AFC teams hosting the wild card game, I'd want nothing to do with the Raven. I know they've had some rough games here and there, but they're well balanced.

I think the Bills offense is good. I do not think it's as nearly good as they schedule and luck (playing a broken down Niners in the snow) has shown. I think The Chargers in a high pressure playoff game could do the business. Same with the Broncos. Both have far superior head coaches who know how to win big games with less.

If the playoffs started today the first round would be:
Chefs bye

Bills vs. Broncos
Steelers vs. Ravens
Chargers vs. Texans

Bills have the Lions next week. We'll see what they do. Their last three games will tell us nothing and they'll win them. If the Bills lose, If the the Chefs win their next three games (Chargers, Browns, Texans) I can see them going a bit... easy against the Steelers. Trying to force the Bills/Ravens game in the first round. That would be hilarious. :funny:
