NHL: What the puck??

It was a clean hit. Jacob Trouba was going for the shoulder. People have gotten soft. Luckily, the captain rightfully avoided suspension again, but silly people will continue calling him dirty when it is clean! The Rangers have not lost in regulation this year. 5-0-1, we passed the Devils for the top spot in the metro, got contributions from every line, both goalies look sharp, and our cap space is a mess. We rolled back the same team when everyone made changes. Outsiders call our fanbase bandwagon annually when the playoffs start, and we got one cup in 84 years. Whom do they think we are, the Devils or Pittsburgh? It takes character to root for the team that breaks our hearts each year. It is going to be a dogfight for the top spot. December 2nd, NJD VS NYR. It will probably be a playoff preview! Those games are always fun, and I enjoy playfully taunting their pompous fans. I was going to go to that November 29th game against Philly, but it's in Philly, so I'm good. I'll go to the December 2nd game at that garden! So, I don't have to worry about getting tossed out for what I say to the Devil's fans or the safety of my family when the Flyers get steamrolled by the New York Rangers at Wells Fargo Center. I think everyone can expect some fights in the stands to get instigated by Philly fans.

I'm disappointed to lose four in a row. None of those teams have on paper our talent, hopefully, we can beat Philly today.

I'm stunned that the New Rangers have lost six out of our last seven games. We all pay good money to come out and watch them. They kept showing up flat and hanging Mike Richter 2.0 Igor to dry. I'd be shocked if he re-signs if this slide continues. The one game we won in the past few days didn't feel like a win and quick was in the net when you beat MTL 3-1 going into the third and blowing the lead, winning 4-3 with less than a minute in the game. The blue line needs some changes, but bad contracts from the previous regime hamper GM and ex-Rangers captain Chris Drury from making moves to improve the team. If the season concluded this week, it would be debatable if we even get into the playoffs. The Flyers and Blue Jacks are surging. Thank God for an eighty-two-game schedule. It allows flexibility to make mistakes, but it doesn't sit right with me to watch us lose in games. We should be prevailing in. We were in first to start the year, so it's not a skill or talent issue. New Year's Eve will tell the story. We could be out of contention by that point or be back to playing our game in the hunt.

I've been an NY Rangers fan my whole life. I've never seen them play so lifelessly. We need couch-like torts next year to hold them accountable for what they did this year. We are playing like the worst team in the NHL right now. The only players who show up every night to play are the goaltenders, and they make the scores look closer than they deserve to be. We are grateful to have Igor re-signed. I'm sorry to see Jacob go. At the same time, he gets to play near Disneyland with a young, talented group of hockey players in some great weather.
