Nightcrawler absence, here's why

    Ok... I've finished the "official" game today (it was REALLY short) and the game explains what happens with Nightcrawler and why he isn't in X-Men 3.



    Ready for the answer?






    Nightcrawler enter's Charles "office"...
    Charles: "hmm, you're leaving"
    Nightcrawler: "This isn't my life"
    Charles: "Fine Kurt, know that we'll have the doors open in case if you want to return"




    And THAT'S IT.

    That's the reason why Nightcrawler left the X-Men. Really lame.

    The real reason he left:

    Fox wrote him out of the movie and didn't want to pay for Nightcrawler.

    Kind of like how they wrote Cyclops out of the Phoenix story.

    it's not impossible to have the game, I work at a video game store, i got it today. We've apprentlyhd it isnce monday. I only played the first two missions so far. I haven't gotten to play as nightcrawler. But yes he could very well have the game.

    Not really... It was like "whoa" the first two missions but then got boring. And it's REALLY REALLY short. In 5-6 hours you could finish it.

    I guess the game explains why they're in the movie in a DR session with Sentinels... they're the main plot of the game.

    Can you tell us more about this game, I been reading and watching previews of the game and they mention that the story in the game takes place between X2 and X3?

    i dont mind that nighty isnt in x3. i like the idea of having a rotating cast. i want to see many x-men get a chance to shine and this is a logical way. people come and go in the comics all the time. and one movie is like a hundred comics. i always imagined that after the events of x2, he went back to his life. he never got a costume.

    i think if they make x4 anytime soon, they need to clean house. prof could be out (i dunno if he survives x3) because the team needs to learn to cope without him (as this always happens in the comics). leave the juniors in the background and make way for a new team lead by one or two members from the first three movies (hopefully cyke, if he can find a way to make it back).

    x4 would be amazing if it consisted of cyke and emma leading beast, kitty, gambit (filling logan's place) and a few others. the astonishing lineup has great chemistry.

    Indeed, the story takes place between X2 and X3.

    Basically, the game starts with the X-Men (Iceman, Nightcrawler, Colossus, Storm and Wolverine) going to Alkali Lake (Stryker's Base precisely) to find certain pieces of Cerebro... and they discover Stryker's second plan... the Sentinels. Master Mold awakens and, well, the game consists on finding a way to shut down all the Sentinels, including Master Mold.

    Wolverine levels are just fighting levels. Straight levels knocking enemies down.
    Nightcrawler levels consists more on stealth, but not that much. Its more like activate doors, activate panels and so on.
    Iceman levels... well, they're the most frustrating. Because, I dont know with what kind of game compare, but its like Tony Hawks games (minus all the stunts) shooting ice blasts. And in several levels you have timer (get out of there in 1 minute or you will die, that kinda stuff)

    The final boss is dissapointing....

    The funny is, that in the opening cutscene... they show pics of magazines with "famous" mutants on their covers... and they show Gambit... and its looks NOTHING to the gambit we all know. Its a fat guy with short hair.

    Only the major ones.

    I don't know for Magneto... acording to the credits, it wasn't Ian McKellen... but it sounded A LOT like him.

    I bet in this game you can unlock hidden characters, On top of that, Maybe a couple of easter eggs?

    No hidden characters. Only extra costumes unlockables and some Danger Room sessions for each character.

    I didn't find any easter eggs so far..

    You are telling me that this is from the game? come on.... they would go through the long process of digitally making the game and then throw in these 3 images... more and more I am not believing this person.....
