After initial shock of news, I like this, but also want to wait until more is finalized like cast and such should anything go bad with deals.

That said, I find this to be a surprise pick. This is a kind of move I would expect from Marvel Studios, like right after Creed, Ryan Coogler got picked up for Black Panther.

Also, really, if by Comic Con there is no Flash director, it's a bias against speedsters.
