Sorry -- comic noob question. Nightwing: Year One is described as Nightwing 101-106. Were there really one hundred issues of the series before doing the origin story, or is that a standard (or not standard) way of numbering the issues -- meaning these really are the first six issues of Nightwing?

Thanks.

Nightwing's origin story has been told several times. The story in Nightwing #101-106 was just the most recent telling.

Thanks, but I was asking whether or not 101-106 are really the one-hundred first through one hundred sixth issues of the series.

After seeing the cover art to Nightwing #1, which looked very cool, I looked up the graphic novel Nightwing: Year One to see if it included #1 through whatever, but it says 101-106.

yes, issues 101-106 are really the one hundred first through one hundred sixth issues. Nightwings career didn't start when his comic did. It started in about 1983 or 1984 (not for sure) in the pages of the teen titans comics.

Quick! Someone post a picture of the disco suit!

Oh yeah.

I Heard He Had Another Outfit Before The Current One But After The Disco One. Is That True? And If So, Does Someone Have A Picture Of It?

It wasn't even such a bad costume. Liked it when he pulled that out for his Crisis Titans appearance.

Yeah, although I don't recall it having the ability to fly when he wore it in the olden days. I guess you could pass off what he was doing in IC as "gliding," though. Very stable, long-distance gliding where he doesn't lose much altitude, if any.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it didn't have flight capability originally.

he wore it again?! wow.
