I just picked up this dvd today, and let me tell you man, this is the best concert DVD I have ever seen. I loved And All That Could Have Been, but this one packs even more onto a single disc for less than half the cost. The picture quality on even the regular DVD is crazy, as is the sound, so I cant imagine how good it looks on HD and Blu-Ray. The song selection is great, the energy is consistently high from first song to last. I was very, very surprised to see the song Burn on it, which is actually my favorite NIN song. So, anyone else pick this up, and if so, what did you think?

Yes, this is all well and good, but....

WHY IS THERE NO 'YEAR ZERO' THREAD YET?!

Why haven't I seen a thread on all the leaked NIN tracks and all the viral marketing hoopla surrounding the upcoming disc???

Why Joker?! Why???

NIN ****ed up for me With Teeth and trent's new album  ...Broken and The downward spiral is where it's at for me.

To be honest I'm not going to follow the whole Year Zero story thread, I'll just pick up the "leaked" tracks. Interesting concept though. You guys might want to check out this site:www.theninhotline.net/news
for updates on this whole thing. I don't have the time these days to follow the whole thing :o

Fragile was there 2nd best album to date, and With Teeth is there best. Year Zero looks to be f**king incredible too, as Nose Goblin said, the viral marketing (leaving flash drives with the songs and hidden images in files of static) is brilliant. Downward Spiral was great, but it seems to me like people just expected Trent to make that same album over and over again, and when he said "f**k you" to that idea, people became resentful and unable to move on.

The Fragile rocked  Not really a fan of With Teeth :/

I think after getting sober and proving that he can still make great music (i.e. With_Teeth) Trent has really got his groove back.

The 4 'leaked' tracks I've heard thus far are brimming with confidence. (Not to mention coming out in record time!)

In fact, as much as I love the With_Teeth album, I feel each one of these tracks are stronger than anything off of that album.

Trent's singing has even improved (Listen to "In This Twilight" or the unique way he sings on "Survivalism" and "Me, I'm Not")

Even his lyrics seem to be more inspired than usual.

where did you find In This Twilight and Me, I'm Not? I can only find the other 2...

I hold the same opinion, The Fragile took a while to grow on me but now I still love to listen to it. The leaked tracks are looking promising but I reserve judgment for when I listen to the whole thing in its entirety.

I got to see some of it on the DirecTV freeview showing. I watched Wish, Closer, Head like a Hole, Beside you in time, Burn, The Hand that Feeds, and Only. Very impressive, and the visuals were outstanding:up: I'm looking forward to watching the entire show on the DVD.

Listening to In This Twilight sweet :wow: :heart:

yeah im listening to in this twilight and me imnot, pretty damn good songs.

I am going to stop listening to the Year Zero "leaks" because I dont want to have the rest spoiled for me. BYIT is amazing and it makes me wish I bought a Blu-Ray. :csad:

The whole "Iamtryingtobelieve" marketing scheme is amazing, and cmon, whens the last time an album has had the news talking.

Holy hell I thought I was alone! I plugged in the DVD into my ****ty television and went "wow..... is it me or does this look better than most." My favorite performance on the DVD has to be a tie between Only and Head Like a Hole, but Beside You In Time has the best visuals (him throwing the mike and 'breaking the glass' is amazing).

I gotta say I like the first 4 songs, and then Burn the most...the first four remind me of the Closure concert tape back from TDS era when every song that wasnt Hurt just had this amazing raw energy behind it. And Burn is my favorite NIN song ever, which surprised the hell out of me that they even did...

I love NIN, Head like hole and into the void are cool songs :D

Okay do me a favor... go to the discography on your Beside You In Time DVD, head to the Closure selection and watch the March of the Pigs clip. Can you tell me wtf is going on there? It looks like someone is attacking Trent and a bouncer suddenly confesses his jealousy?

Anyways, the song that suprised me was The Big Come Down.... such a random song from Fragile, you'd think it would be something like Into the Void or Star****ers.

That version of "The Big Comedown" is AMAZING though!!

Omg, I really liked the song before, but I LOVE that live version!!

Yeah, I got the DVD when it hit shelves, and i've got to say it's incredibly awesome! From start to finish, it's a roller coaster ride of intensity. And I agree about the picture quality, truly incredible. NIN is one of my favorite bands, and I also can'y wait for Year Zero.

Haha, I never really liked the song before until I heard the live version, now its first on my "On The Go" Playlist.

Survivalism video....... be warned its a typical NIN video with the controversial goods.

RIP Trent :csad:

I just watched it :wow: poor Trent :(

According to this Kerrang Radio report,
"[Trent]'s admitted he's already in talks about a movie version of his upcoming album a concept piece, with part two scheduled for next year. "I'm excited by the prospect of what this has brought to me, We're really looking into things it could be." Reznor revealed."

I'm thinking maybe this film will be something like The Wall from Pink Floyd? Interesting...:ninja:
