By the end of June DS sales will be over 19 million worldwide.

if they come out with a "gameboy", it'll be after the DS has run it's course. so don't expect anything to come out within the next couple of years.

sega gamegear had everything that the psp has going forn it, but it still failed, if it had all the psp games it wouldve kicked nintendo's arse, but it didnt. and i really fail to see how it was stupid a post. the reaon PS 1 and 2 and the x box are sucess ful are it's games. the games are what makes a console(including the consoles internal package). without halo, GTA etc. sonyand x box would be off the map.

To hell with the PSP. My DS Lite blows that POS out of the water, but technologically speaking it is obviously inferior to the PSP. What is actually happening is the exact opposite of what you stated. The DS is alive b/c of it's games and the PSP is alive for it's versatility.

^^ actually its the other way around. ds is innovative and the games are heaps of fun. of course the games are keeping it alive, thats what it does. psp tried to do all this and that, but it's a load of shnit. movies arent worth it to watch on that shnit and no on cares for its music playabilitysince the ipod has blown it out the water, hell even sony's music electronics are getting defeated by the ipod. when i said games for the psp, i meant the games that sony has exclusvives for thats the only reason the psp is still around. everybody( at least almost) wants thier GTA's and shnit those are the games taht are keeping thepsp alfoat, you know.

Well....games are usually the big selling point. The fact that the PSP can play mp3's, videos, UMDs, and hold pictures is just a bonus imo.

PSP and DS both have their strong points, and both are solid systems (and I'm not even a Ninetendo person)

DS - Over 9 million served…in Japan

The DS is unstoppable in Japan. Nintendo announced that their dual-screen portable has sold through over 9 million units, that figure including DS Lite. The demand for the DS hasn’t slowed down, and doesn’t look like it will anytime soon. With a strong lineup of titles available, and many more high profile titles on the way, consumers have a ton of good reasons to pick up a DS. Plus, we have seen how well launching a redesign works for Nintendo, so expect some boosts in sales once other colors hit, such as Noble Pink on July 20th.
