This goes out to all who prematurely declared Nintendo dead. :p

My thoughts:

*DSi (I'm still using the DS phat, so they finally sold me on upgrading my DS.)

*Storage problems fixed (playing games strait from the SD cards is awesome, and truthfully should have already happened, but better late than never.)

*Sin & Punishment 2 (Completely out of left field, and a completely hardcore game.)

*Punchout! (First sequel since the SNES Super Punchout. Anyone not excited for this game cannot call themselves Nintendo fans.)

*Mario & Luigi 3 (Another game in this fantastic RPG franchise.)

*Another Code for the WII. (Or Trace Memory as many know it. This will be another great core game.)

*Monster Hunter 3 looks fantastic.

*Samurai Warriors 3 for the Wii. (The Dynasty Warriors spin off finally comes to the system that allows you to hack and slash to your hearts content.)

*Gamecube rereleases on the Wii. Pikmin 1&2, Chibi Robo, Metroid Prime 1&2. (This is great for those who never played the originals, but unless their is alot more content, I won't be buying them since after buying the Wii, I went and bought most of the major GC game that I never got to play anyways. This is good, but won't benefit me.)

*New DS WarioWare. (I hope it's online, since that would secure my money.)

*Klanoa remake for the Wii. (It has been years since we have seen Klanoa, and I loved that franchise. Hopefully the second game will follow.)

*New Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles for the DS and Wii. (The fact that these interconnect for play may make this another worth addition to the franchise.)

All in all, this was a fantastic conference, and more than makes up for their weak E3 showing.

Appearantly you can create your own micro games for the new WarioWare, and compose your own music with a creation tool very similar to that in Mario Paint for the SNES.

That is awesome.

It looks like Nintendo is publishing "The Conduit."

That is great news, since now it's another core game behind Nintendo's belt for next year, but it's a new IP for all those who gripe about Nintendo's major franchises.

Me too. I would have tore something up if King Hippo hadn't been in it.

There are also reports that one of the new boxers is a female. I say give me the old Boxers and add in some new, and make sure Doc is in and it'll be awesome.

In fact, make a Doc mode where you get to train and box as Doc during his glory days.

It would be nice if you can select the boxer you want to play in the game, but I agree that Doc should be in as a retired boxer/mentor of your guy.

Looks like Nintendo did intentionally hide all these news from E3 for the Japanese conference. Stupid decision imo.

They did it last year too, so I was figuring that is what they were doing this year also.

All in all, this was a fantastic conference by Nintendo. Sin & Punishment 2 made it all worthwhile by itself. I wonder how Nintendo talked them into doing a sequel when Treasure isn't known for sequels.

- I'll be holding out on the DSi on the fact that there will obviously be another model that will hopefully include a GBA slot and give it backwards compatibility with Game Boy games.

- It's awesome that they're making Punch Out! Wii. Must buy.

- Don't care about the re-releases of GameCube games for the Wii on the basis that I already bought most of the must have GameCube games (Metroid Prime, Super Mario Sunshine, the Legend of Zelda).

- I wish that Nintendo came up with a better storage solution than SD cards. An external hard drive and a new Wii model that comes with a small hard drive would have been better.

- I was expecting Kid Icarus to be announced for Wii. I just figured that there would have been a few more announcements like Final Fantasy V and VI for the DS, more Resident Evil for the Wii, a tad bit more info on the next Legend of Zelda.

- It is very nice to see though that Nintendo focused more on the core gamer this time around and it defintely makes up for their poor E3 showing.

The Pic with the girl gives me an adventure game vibe.

Is the Mario and Luigi thing for the DS?

Yea, Mario & Luigi 3 is a DS game.

I still use the DS Phat, so the GBA thing isn't a big deal to me, since I'll still have my GBA and old DS. But Nintendo has finally talked me into upgrading it since I never owned a DS Lite.

You didn't think the Wii Speak microphone was only for Animal Crossing, did you? No, Nintendo announced today at their press conference in San Francisco that an all-new Wii Speak Channel will arrive in North America on November 16th, allowing up to four friends who've exchanged Friend Codes to chat with one another. In the chat room, players will be represented by their Mii's, who will mimic their speech on the screen as it happens. I'm guessing that's limited to hand gestures and simple body movements, so those planning on using the channel for more intimate encounters will still have to rely on their imaginations.

The Wii Speak microphone, which retails for $29.99, will come packaged with a code that allows owners to download the Wii Speak Channel at no additional charge. Other uses of the mic include leaving voice messages for your friends ("Why did you disconnect? I wasn't done yet?") and narrating photo captions.

This is awesome. I'd love to have a chat with my friends in Alfred State.

Sin and Punishment 2 and Punchout Wii =

Looks like after 20 years, the power glove concept for the original Punchout will finally be realized in a way that actually works! :D

Nintendo has announced that the cult favorite game "Cave Story" will be heading to WiiWare with exclusive content for the Wii.

This game is fantastic, and was done by one man, who has never charged for the game.

Pixel deserves the monetary support for this game, especially if he and Nintendo are adding in extra content by the time it hits.

Strike another for the "core" gamers.

Also after thinking about it, the only games I would willingly re-buy are the Metroid Prime 1 & 2. MP3 had fantastic controls, and playing through the first two with the new controls would be bliss.

So chances are I'll buy those. The rest I have as GC discs and I don't see the need to re-buy them with Wii-controls.

It's good for those who have never played them before though.

The Gamecube Metroid games with 16:9 widescreen and enhanced controls would definitely be something worth looking into.

was REALLY hoping to hear about kid icarus wii and some super mario/legend of zelda titles...maybe even pikmin 3?

*Storage problems fixed (playing games strait from the SD cards is awesome, and truthfully should have already happened, but better late than never.)

what i want to know is this gonna be an update for the wii or only on newer versions and the wii hd

I hear that.. I wish Nintendo would be more on top of their first party titles. We should already be hearing about another Mario. A buddy of mine suggested a 3d SM64-style remake of the original SMB. It'd be better than NSMB, either way.

^^that sounds fun. i'd like to see 3d remakes of SMB3 and SMWorld too.

Sorry if this sounds stupid, but how are they going to actually fix the storage issue with the SD cards? Will it be fixed with a downloaded update or something to that effect? I was thinking about getting a SD card soon, so I want to know if they're going to make new types of SD cards in order to fix the problem, or if that matters. I need to know if I need to wait or not before I get the SD card.

Oh and concerning the post above, I would love some type of Mario game reflect the old classics. To be honest, I'd like to see a new 2 Mario game that would play like the older ones. I know they made something to that effect on the DS, but I don't really mess with handheld systems long enough to make the purchase.

^^^ You're thinking of New Super Mario Bros. I wasn't too fond of it myself, but a few of my buddies liked it.

Along with 3D remakes, I'd love a direct sequel to Mario Sunshine.. I loved it. I could never understand why some people didn't like it.

I liked mario sunshine as well. But I'll never forget mario 64. I would really love to see more mario adventure titles mario 64 style and also some made in 2D style.

I got paper mario and that's giving me sort of the 2D experience I want. But I want it too look more like super mario 3 or super mario world. And I'd like a 2D mario game without the RPG element.
