I thought so too at first. I was kinda mad when I came out of the theatre.

I've learned to live with it. It's not that hard. It's not like all those final scenes suck, they're actually quite teriffic.
 
Terrific film. Loved the ending, it surprised me at first how it just cut off from that.

But I just love the Chirgugh character. He's like a ghost, hence his last line, "You never saw me..." and limps away.
 
It was so anti-climactic. TOO Anti-Climactic.
That's sorta the point of the ending, and it's supposed to be the exact same way in the book... it leaves the audience surprised, and full of thought when walking out of the theater or after watching it on dvd.
