Hawley's comments make me wonder if he is thinking of recasting the classic characters or if he is looking at introducing totally new Trek characters. At this point, I'd honestly be fine with either.
Bummed that the 2009 cast never really got a chance to use their potential beyond the first movie. It was an awesome cast and they could have really rocked it.
