Lilo's tablet is going down, yo. So I need a hook up on which one I should get. One's Android, the other is Windows. I love my Samsung tablet, but the screen is going out on it and they want to charge me $360 to fix it. So I decided with that cash I can get a new one for around the same price. The Nokia has Android Lollipop and is 7.9 inches and costs around $250, while the Surface 3 runs Windows 8.1 (upgradable to Windows 10) 10.1 inches and costs around $470. The capabilities of the Surface 3 seems to justify the extra cost.

Out of the two, go with the Surface 3.

Surface 3 but at that cost you might as well get the surface pro 3 i3 at 799 or i5 at 999 with a student discount from best buy you can save an additional 150 off of that and have a much better processor by far and hard drive space too.

I'm on a budget and the only way I can afford a Surface Pro 3 is if I can snipe it for a good price on ebay. The Surface 3 fits more in my price range and I don't plan to use it as a gaming rig or anything heavy, so I'm fine with the Atom processor. The RAM is a little disconcerting though. I may opt for the 128GB/4GB combo for a $100 more if I can find it for a good price on Amazon or ebay.

EDIT: Swappa has the Pro 3's in the $600 range, but that is pretty steep for my budget.

If I could run Windows on the Nokia N1, it would be perfect (it has an Intel Atom processor so theoretically it could run Windows 8).

New Challenger Approaching:

So I've been without a tablet for about 9 months now and being primarily reliant on my laptop that I use at home and work and my phone to surf the web in bed and on the go. Now I've grown tired of taking my laptop around places since it is my primary computer, so now I want to take a tablet with a keyboard to do basic writing. And now I see the Surface Pro 2 is priced around $400 for the 128GB, Core i5 variant. BUT! It's a certified refurbished from Microsoft... So now Surface 3 for $450 or Surface Pro 2 for $400?

Btw everyone there is a recall on the Surface Pro chargers so keep that in mind when making your decision
