We know we are heading towards a reboot now, and one thing that bugs me in the Nolan trilogy and in the new 52 reboot, is the fact that Bruce Wayne knows Joe Chill was his parents killer. I always prefer the killer never being found. Bruce Wayne never getting closure.
I want to see the full out Globe Trotting Bruce Wayne, who is learning to be Batman. I even believe we can sorta get a Batman of sorts into the story be end of season 1. I dont know if anyone remembers KnightsEnd and the story of Bruce Wayne retraining himself as Tengu. Google the image if you do not. The totem of the Bat as a mask can be given to him to end season 1.
What about villains you ask?
I think you can most definitely have villains, and some that are very known to comic fans, but not so much to mainstream, which is really cool.
Villains that could work in my opinion
Lady Shiva
Ras' Al Ghul
Deadshot
Court of Owls (yup, its doable)
Selina Kyle (during his time in Italy perhaps)
The Red Hood Gang
Basil Karlo Clayface (Bruce learns makeup and disguise in LA)
Hugo Strange
Maxie Zeuss
and more...
One change I would make is to have Alfred go with him. I think the public needs Alfred with Bruce. But, Alfred (being younger) could be a much more active role in Bruce's journey to become Batman.
