The Dark Knight Obama as Joker posters around LA

Awesome! Except it should say ANARCHY and not socialism.
Now all we need is McCain as Batman and Palin as Two-Face.

Also, slander fail. The Joker might be a villain but he is one of the most beloved villains of all time.
Like Darth Vader. This if anything, will make him even more popular...

^People who are getting worked up about this, left, right, and center, are freaking idiots. Maybe it's because I visit this site and deviantart practically every day, but I'm desensitized to the whole jokerization meme.

Oh, and here's a rebuttal of sorts to Limbaugh's comments.

I think it's hilarious that all these higher ups are arguing about the Joker's motives in TDK....

OMG

THE WORLD HAS TURNED INTO THE SHH.

God help us all.

According to that rebuttal, Joker > Obama.

Wow I think a black man could one day play a great Joker in a Batman film.

Ain't it great?

According to that rebuttal, Joker > Obama.

Some Republicans might agree with that statement. :hehe:

Its funny because everyone at my work and my friends all interoperated TDK as a pro-Bush film. Everyone at my work saw Batman as the Bush administration in it.

For the record I agree with the. Oh, and Obama sucks, IMO

If it was a pro-Bush film, Batman never would have destroyed his spy computer, and he sure as hell wouldn't have given a damn about Lucius' opinion concerning said computer. :o

And I remember the Nolan brothers saying that they didn't intend for this movie to make any kind of political statement one way or the other.

I wonder: if it's offensive for a white person to wear black face makeup, does that mean it's offensive for a black person to wear white face makeup?

A fascinating question.

Black-face has racial connotations and historical precedence as a mocking nature against a specific group of people. So no, not really comparable.

I made a joke. Laugh. It's kind of funny.

Hardly anything feels more clumsy and awkward than bigoted right-wing nuts trying to look irreverent. That´s against everything they stand for if you think about it.

People who see this as an inversion of black face and therefore racist are really reaching.

I was making a (bad) joke. Anyone who actually sees this as racist is incredibly stupid and overly sensitive.

Well, much of the public is incredibly stupid and overly sensitive, so it makes complete sense that there are some that would assume that it's racist.
