Out of curiosity...

For a sense of continuity, is Doc Ock ever mentioned, even fleetingly, in SM3?

I don't know if he's mentioned during the actual movie, but he is shown in the opening credits, when they recap the previous two movies.

I think they said something about him kidnapping MJ in the novelization.

I'm looking forward to the opening credits most... its my favorite opening behind Star Wars

I thought they weren't going to have a recap this time?

I never heard that. All I know is this time they're using actual footage from the movies to do the recap.

One reviewer who saw an advanced screening, mentioned a few of the scenes they show:

-Peter getting bitten by the spider
-Green Goblin
-Goblin getting impaled by the glider
-Harry finding Spidey with Norman's body
-Doc Ock
-Doc Ock drowning
-Harry finding the Goblin lair

I'm sure there's more, like Harry unmasking Peter, and MJ and Peter getting together etc. But, those are the scenes that were mentioned.

I wonder if its gonna be Evil Dead-style recap or just a lazy recap!

i actually heard the credits don't feature a recap at all, but are like the credits in the first movie. Not sure though

The opening credits are like this:
It mimicks the credits from the first film, but also uses symbiote like webbing. In between the webbing shows recaps from the first 2 films.

Sounds cool. :)

I like that. Cool.

It would be cool if Sony would release a sneak peek at the opening credits.

Yeah, I was gonna mention the opening credits-thingy. I hope they're in there again. It was really cool last time..

Last time was cool but we won't be getting Alex Ross again.

****ing AWESOME!!!! That's such a relief! I always hoped that they would go down the same path as the opening credits for superman 2 showing a resume from superman 1!! Some idiot said that the opening credits for spidey 3 was just black webs and nothing more! So, I'm reaaaall happy to hear this!:woot:

I got my advanced screening tickets yesterday for the 12:01 AM show on May 4, and I am glad to hear there is an opening sequence of the first two movies. I try to stay away from major spoilers, but if they open the movie with this sequence that shows Harry finding the Gobby hideout, then I could only wish that Harry starts off the movie in some sort of way.

The opening credits and the recap sounds very cool. Can't wait. 8)

I know without a doubt that I will have chills during the opening sequence.

The idiot your referring to, wrote a very accurate and detailed first review of the film. He said he didnt want to spoil the titles but they focused on black webs, which they do. He never said they only focused on black webs.

Show some thanks, and have some sense.

So are they actual clips with sound? If so, it would kinda interfere with the music in the opening credits.
