Only volume that really failed was vol.3, that was just horrible. You can't say 130 issues from the first volume was a failure, and there was some controversy with the cancellation of vol.2.

Much appreicated I only got into Alpha FLight maybe a year and a half ago. Prior I thought Wolverine could take them, boy was I wrong. I even made individual respect threads as well

Schmidt, Andy: An announcement could have been made, but I don’t know that it would have made any difference. Folks who were going to get upset, were going to get upset whenever they heard the news. In addition to the fans clamoring for an ongoing (and thank you for being so vocal) there are also new people popping up saying that now that it’s a limited series, they will pick it up as well.

I'll borrow it from a friend of mine that's a HorseyThor fan and see if it's any good. I've never been much of an Avengers fan and the way I see the line up is more like 'Avengers Lite' than anything else. I hope the mini takes off into an ongoing for you fans, though; God knows I've wished some of my favorite characters could have chances like these.

I don't know much about the West Coast Avengers, but if you replace HorseyThor with Thunderstrike isn't it almost the same team? (It's very possible T-Strike wasn't even in it. )

I'm glad you think that they can beat those 2 teams, I know you have a bias towards the Flight. Besides, I'm not looking to make this a vs. thread since I hate those. It's also not about making this a pissing contest. I just gave my opinion, don't take it as a slight. Who knows, maybe the 1st issue will grab me and change my opinion.

I agree with everything except Guardian and Talisman, as Talisman is Dr.Strange's equal even stated. She easily cancelled out Loki's spells and defeated Llan a being Dr.Strange coudn't. Even Guardian defeated a weakened Galactus when the combined might of Hercules, Windshear, Sersei, Her, Quasar, Box IV, Vindicator II couldn't. Their hardly a poor mans version of those charaters. Even Bill has defeated Thor in the past, and has destroyed planets with a single hit. If you actually believe Dr.Druid is anywhere near Talisman I suggest you look at her respect thread. If you want to go further even US Agent has ko'ed Ronan the Accuser with a single hit. Don't discredit them since most are not as well known.

Cool, I guess we misunderstood each other. I'm not calling the characters second rate because of their actual powers levels but mostly for how they're known by most people compared to their analogues in the Avengers (as a popularity thing, not as an assessment of their true power levels).

Not meaning to offend again, but I'm somewhat leery of respect threads. They have a tendency to only show the best of a character and sometimes in a very out of context atmosphere. That's why I usually go to other sources to look for info and form my own opinion.

For example, I don't know Talisman's current level of power. By the examples you gave me it would make her seem as an incredibly powerful magic user. It'd make anyone question why Strange is Sorcerer Supreme and not her. BUT, I do know of the example you gave regarding disrupting Loki's magic. This is due to her innate power of canceling magic, kinda like Leech for mutants only for magic. I also saw her sporting what I guess is her father's medicine bag. Those are 2 things that distort her true capabilities as a magic caster. She has the advantage against magical foes...would you say she was on equal footing with Dr.Strange against a non-magical one? Those are the things you can rarely judge in appreciation threads.

I know that's why I agreed with your "Avengers lite" comment, but then commented on their actual power afterwards.

Oh I didn't take it at all you were offending at all. Of course and I actually post whole issues and several scans prior to the feat and afterwards to prevent that.

Neither do I until Omega Flight comes out, but in the series she currently has Shaman's medicine pouch (this is new). The same pouch that sucked up Newfoundland, the Avengers, People's Proctate, Alpha Flight as well...an atomic blast in a second. She can't be Sorcerer Supreme as she is the jesus of the Native American people, and the avatar of the gods to fight evil. She's her own Sorcerer Supreme, Strange even called her a "a primal force of nature". She's even connected to the rules Eternity laid out for the universe. She has even controlled Elder Gods as she is the Spirit Binder and controlled them due to the fact they were from the Spirit World. Sure does, here is a quick summary of her powerset if you don't want to look at the respect thread. She even teleported an entire city including hundreds of thousands of people away into a barren dimension.
