can someone translate this plus this link may have new set pics or not depending on what the dude is saying.

Some fast translation, and without a spell check, so...

Note: the Joker is the user posting in that blog all the reports about the movie...

Why trust the Joker about Dragon Ball?

Hi... and after a little vacation, and welcoming a new year, wich I hope will be full of health, well being, and success, let's get to the following...

To the question of José Luis (Granada, España) and Therion (Brasil), and others that have showed their interest about trusting the Joker about the filming of Dragon Ball hahaha, I answer the following:

Luckily, I live in Durango, Dgo (Land of movies and scorpions) capital city of the state and where the whole production will be focused, those living in the city are really close to some locations and sets that have been biult, but natural scenarios like Mexiquillo, Laguna Seca of Santiaguillo and others are over two or three hours away and some are difficult to reach

I have some other activities and can not dedicate myself to investigate or infiltrate or follow the production since the blog thing is a hobby to me (I'm a movie buff) and posting info about Dragon Ball has changed a lot the meaning of what I wanted in the blog, since now everyone wants to know more and exclusively about Dragon Ball. But it's something I liked, it was a good change.

I have some friends that will be extras, and some that are somehow involved in the production, and they have offered me their help to keep you informed through the blog

So far the production haven't said when and where filming will begin, they are pretty hermetic since you wouldn't want either public, paparazzis, reporters, etc... some say that it will start on january 7, others 14. But as soon as they start we will know and I think it will be next monday.

I try to post trustworthy, and so far I don't think I have failed you, you can even see the entry dates in the blog, I anounced they will be filming in Durango before, when it was just a rumor, weeks before the announcement, before newspaper El Norte, since that newspapeper was later used as official source, and you can check and compare dates in my blog, and even superherohype. Besides, I provided the first photos of shooting and I hope I will have more.

So trust the Joker and thanks to those who voted for me, it was for a contest to win a trip to Argentina, sponsored by Cinepolis (Theathers chain) and the movie "Sultanes del Sur", but I ended up way behind, but thanks to those who voted.

Following, I'm posting some pics of Mexiquillo where some relatives went on the weekend and took pictures, and the people there is really hyped, since one of the restaurants is in charge of cooking meal for the production... and the last pic is something special, ver rare, draw your own conclusions...

(LOTS OF PICS)

This restaurant will be in charge of feeding the entire production, that's why they are so hyped about. They forgot to take a picture of the outside, but the good thing is that these persons will have a lot of work a fre days

(SOME MORE PICS)

Checking trough these pictures of National Park Mexiquillo, taken with a cellphone, I noticed that in one of the pictures you can see a spot in the distance, and zooming in the picture I saw some circular objects, oh, well, everyone draw your own conclusions, if they are UFOs or some camera malfunction, but it's something I found weird and unusual, I state that the picture is real and not a joke from the Joker, haha

It says that the place on the first picture will be a place where Goku and Bulma go look for Dragonballs. It says that filming will take place near the end of the month and into February, for a total of 22 days.

The second picture is a place that is being refited to serve as a combat set, which indicates this is the location of a fight or of the WMAT. It will be used for 4 days of filming.

With regard to the characteristics of the locations, Gutierrez Barraza emphasized that these are strange landscapes, "but not rare." "They are landscapes that are not easy, but in Durango we have several of these, such as Laguna Seca in Santiaguillo, which is a space as if the world were starting or had already been finished," explained the director of the state agency.

Also abounded that the locations are not common environments, since the nature of the film places unusual demands and Durango at its wealth Geographic enjoys an extended range.

"Producers arrive until next week in the area of post-production," said the interviewer, while he said that although the dates for casting and "finished", they will continue on a permanent basis.

There were approximately 700 thousand people who auditioned, but will be about a thousand that will participate in this production.

"There are scenes in which involved up to 500 extras at once," said Sergio Gutierrez.

Hopefully one of our readers can better translate.

Translation from rikx:
The movie demands rare locations, and Durango is full of these. The movie requires a lot of landscapes that are hardly populated and uncommon.

The casting for extras at Durango is done. From 1700 people that auditioned, only 1000 are going to be used, which is still a lot.

I forgot to put an "are" after the "populated and"

I basically summed up the most important things of the article into those 2 sentences. It will be interesting to see how "rare" and "unique" these landscapes really are.

Thanks dude.

these locations are gonna rock... no doubt.
like casino royale

More locations in Durango to be transformed for Dragon Ball

A ranch 15 minutes away from the city is being redecorated for several scenes to be filmed there, is "La Providencia" ranch wich has had a increased number of attendants lately because of this. This ranch is better knows as Disco & Rodeo "Estampida", a place for entertainment where on weekends people dance from disco music to "pasito duranguense" (Note: this is a funny name for some local way of dancing, not official or "real", is like saying "Durango Hop" or something :) ) and also hosts a rodeo show, according to leaks, Goku and Bulma will be searching for Dragon Balls there. Filming will take place late on this month and beginning of February, during 22 days

(some irrelevant description of the ranch here)

Fair Arena
Eduardo Escobar Saracho, president of the Fair Comitee, has said that the fair arena will be used for 4 days and it will be a combat stage for Goku, building the set will require about 15 days of work. It was said before that the arena could be used to represent the Temple or Palace of Kami-Sama.

Confirmed, Dragon Ball filming will begin on January 14th

Well, finally it is revealed that it will be next monday Jan 14th when shooting for the Dragon Ball movie begins, in Durango. Shooting start was expected last week, but is confirmed for next week.

It has been especulated that on Jan 7th and 8th it may begin, since the sub director of tourism had said that on 8th the producers will be arriving, and it's true, tomorrow Jan 8th the producers arrive at Durango to supervise working on location and sets, but shooting won't start until 14th.

Many of us thought that with the arrival of the producers shooting would begin, but it didn't.

Delay is due to troubles to film in Mexico City, since that it was the intention to begin on Jan 7th, but there were some troubles in DF (Note: Distrito Federal). On Durango word is that there are no problems with the sets and locations, everything is ready, or almost ready, but this week will be used to finish details, and start shooting according to plan.

Sweet Grandpa Gohan will be in it!
I think.
