If a Steinbrenner is opening his mouth, you know something stupid is about to come out.

It's very convenient of Hank to complain about revenue sharing, and completely ignore the fact that MLB is a monopoly with an anti-trust exception. Let's get rid of THAT and then we can complain about "the system". If I wanted to buy an MLB team, say one in Tampa, and move it to the Meadowlands, I COULDN'T do it. Why? Because the territory is protected. Forget about capitalism, and free markets, and competition while it benefits you, Hank.....you blow hard.

If Hank wants more free market forces in MLB, how about having 5 teams in NY, to take away the whole reason the Yankees have so much freaking money in the first place. The fact is that MLB is NOT a free market system. MLB teams can not spring up like new 7-Elevens to compete across the street from the Yankees.

the Yankees have sooo much frikkin' money because they have a long standing franchise, probably the best selling baseball merch on the planet, and a tv network that generates millions of dollars of revenue a year

Im no fan of the Yanks, but are they supposed to apologize for being successful?

on the other hand, Hank was stupid to open up his yapper and say that...its fairly clear that not even the owners are on the same page

Which is why Bud Selig told him not to mention revenue sharing anymore.

Also they did the top most earning teams in terms of revenue last year and in the US it's the Yankees followed by the Cowboys. Of course it's those wacky European soccer teams that rank higher then them.

but the NFL has shown that revenue sharing can help the game overrall

AAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNND more bad luck befalls the Cardinals (to go along with the Pujols not signing deal) Wainright is to have Tommy John Surgery and be out for the Season.

You could say they're season is going....Wainwrong.....

We looked poised to possibly take our division this year and with this we lost like 10-20 wins. Welp i hope the Rams season is good next year.

I'm starting to get that baseball itch a little early this year. Can't wait for the season to start.

That just sucks and is a huge loss. That will tough to overcome. I guess it will probably be the Reds or Brewers for the division.

Sweet, tonie joined the fantasy league. I can't wait to receive his trade offers and then NOT be able to hear him complain about how I didn't immediately accept and possibly countered with something ridiculous.

Only 6 have joined so far. Be nice if we could get it back up to 12 this year.

I'd love to join as well if you're looking for more teams.
