I'm sure the final product will be awesome. it's just that with so many thin panels any vibration from travel would be exaggerated. I'd be afraid it would shake itself apart.

It's possible they might have the wings attatched to some kind of rig on trucks and drive it that way, then CGI the trucks out.

I hadn't seen this thing until over the weekend (that's why I quit posting as to not ruin anyone's job) and to be honest this was NOT what I was expecting when I mentioned the Batwing some weeks back.

This is a lot more elaborate and interesting. It's going to make the perfect toy, Dare I say better than the Batwings of Batman past.

The whole thing unveiled is just an impressive case of awesomeness. There's no pretensions about.

This thing is a flying wrecking ball meant to kick serious ass. I'm very curious to see its place in the film

Honestly, it just looks like a pile of metal right now. Nothing is really clear enough to get a grasp/firm understanding of what this thing is. I'm indifferent until we see an official image, or really good spy pic, hint hint, nudge nudge.

It looks so impressive, and yet... when it started to get compared to the likes of robots from the Transformers movies, that just killed it for me. Still can't wait to see it on the big screen, but after what Bay did to TF, any comparison to something seen within those films just tends to make me wanna..... well, take your pick.

Update from Batburgh:

According to a manager at the parking garage near Wood Street, PPG, and Point Park, there will be a scene involving a helicopter landing on the top deck of the garage this weekend.

Should be a good spot for this scene...lot of great old architecture and also the PPG building for backdrops

I was thinking the exact same thing. Independence Day was one of the first things to come to mind. But it also has it's own unique look.

Raganork8, so they are only testing the batwing today? I knew they were doing testing a few days ago at a certain location. If they filmed with it last night in the tunnels, then they must have the testing done. At least for the car mounted rig.

From what I heard it's just a test today to get a better look at it's "hovering" features. It may be possible testing was only meant for a couple of hours and they may shoot today with it but, it wasn't the impression I got.

Filming is possible though.

EDIT: I did not see or hear about them filming last night; if they did then I would really oubt they'd be testing today.
