On an unrelated note, every Talon featured in this event has looked awesome--so why is the design for the Talon getting an ongoing series so lame?

I don't know but both his design and backstory (from what we know) are just a little too derivative of azrael.

I didn't think of Azrael, myself, but it does kind of fit. That's actually a plus for me, though. I love Azrael.

My first thought when I read about the concept behind the Talon series was, "Why couldn't they have just adapted this into a Mr. Miracle series instead?" Replace the Court of Owls with the New Gods of Apokolips and Talon with Mr. Miracle and run with it.

I liked Damian's introduction because he complicates Bruce's life in a good way. The Wayne lineage continues, Bruce has to deal with a son who kills, and his conflict with the Al Ghuls deepens. What Snyder's doing complicates his history in a bad way. It gives Bruce the "evil Venture brother" twist without understanding how hilariously contrived that is. Now, on top of the matricidal Freeze and "the Gray Son", the Waynes were secretly shady people.

This is all pretty disappointing. It's clear Snyder's a good alternative to Daniels and Finch. But these twists are mad corny.

I didn't think of Azrael, myself, but it does kind of fit. That's actually a plus for me, though. I love Azrael.

One thing I will say about the revelations about

Lincoln March is that his Owlman costume is pretty fab

I'm really hoping he's crazy/deluded/lied to about being Bruce'a brother but I wouldn't mind him sticking around after this arc

Could be a neat nemesis for Bruce

Though he does feel like a bit of a rip off of Dr Hurt
