Age of Ultron, Iron Man 3

Fant4stic, Man of Steel

^ Iron Man 3 wasn't out this year.

Neither was MoS. Just making comparisons to the consensus [of each film] for '13 & '15

Kingsman for me, one of the most fun movies I have seen in a while, Vaughn is just great. It's followed VERY closely by Ant Man though, which I loved. Great characters, and some of the best and most inventive action in the MCU so far. It also had a ton of heart.

AOU was disappointing to me, and the more I think about it the worse it gets, it's not a terrible movie, but so. Many aspects were disappointing, with the bigges one of all being Ultron. No threat at all it was so sad.

Not seen FF yet but pretty confident it will be bottom of the list when I do.

Man of Steel was a successful film. Fantastic Four is an outright critical and financial failure. Not a very apt comparison.

Yeah as others said not a classic year in terms of quality, things started well with Kingsman but then slowly but surely things got duller and less fun as they went on. AOU had some fun moments and had that epic scale to it but felt disappointing, Ant-man was ok but the first hour dragged and FF just went nowhere and is a lame duck.

Bring on 2016 though, the CBM will rise again after losing their super powers this year a bit, I'm sure but I expect more from both Marvel and Fox I know they are capable of better.

Well, I can still remember a time when CBMs struggled to make a dent in the wider culture. A year like this year was truly unheard of. If 2015 is now considered to be a weaker year in terms of CBMs, then we are currently living in a VERY VERY GOOD era for CBMs. ;)

It certainly has not been a good year for CBM's, let's face it no one expected Kingsman to be the best one at the start of the year. So AOU, while certainly not a bad movie, was a disappointment to many.

I did really enjoy Ant Man though myself, though it was really fun and better than AOU for me.

This year didn't have any grand slams, and it's certainly not like last year with the 3 giants (TWS, GOTG, DOFP), but it was solid and satisfying. Kingsman, AOU, and Ant-Man were all very solid if not transcending, and I liked them.

Out of the three, AOU is best almost solely due to it's sheer starpower and spectacle. It's too big to be lower than normal movies like Ant-Man and Kingsman, lol.

Forgettable year overall

I did like the Hulkbuster v Hulk fight so I guess I'll go with AOU?

Could have been worse. Just not as good as last. I had a great time at AOU, Kingsman and Ant-Man personally.

This poll will get crazy next year.

Fantastic Four.:o Just kidding, AoU for me.

That is a good point, goes to show how much the bar has been raised in the past 20 or so years, good for us all in the long run

Haven't seen Kingsman yet, and don't plan to see Fan4stic.

So I'd say AOU as whilst Ultron was disappointingly less evil than I thought, I still love seeing all the MCU characters come together.

Ant Man was great too though.

IF A Girl Walks Home Alone At Night counts (a comic was published prior to the movie release to help hype the movie...so...the movie isn't BASED on a comic)...then it is clearly the best I've seen this year. I've disliked or at best am lukewarm on all of the other comic book movies I've seen thus far. I have Kingsman in from Netflix but haven't had a chance to watch it yet.

I feel the need to re-watch AOU, but as of now, it's Kingsman.

Least no one is voting for FF like a few people voting for TASM2 over TWS, DOFP or GOTG last year.

Still waiting to see Ant-Man but I wasn't really impressed by any of them. It seems that ever since 2011 we've been having one mediocre and one really good year of cbm respectively. And it looks like 2016 is going to continue that trend.

I can't believe people are voting Age of Ultron over Ant-Man.
What do you mean you "can't believe"? Just like last year with GOTG, DOFP and Winter Solider these films were so close reception wise it just comes down to personal preference. A look at the general reception from audiences, fans and critics makes this pretty easy to believe.

Cinemascore:
AOU: A
Kingsman: B+
Ant-Man: A

RT Critic
AOU: 74% 6.7 rating
Kingsman: 74% 6.7 rating
Ant-Man : 79% 6.8 rating

RT Audience
AOU: 87%
Kingsman: 85%
Ant-Man: 90%

These films were all received very similar. None of them had a big advantage over the other in a general sense.
