Well, this is looking to be an awesome week, with the exception of Daredevil. :(

Man****ing can only get you so far.

Well, either way, I don't think it should affect anything that has already happened, including this weeks debates and votes. The only way I would object to a new person voting (without this rule already in place) was if his post was "Durok because he's teh awesome!!!11!!" or something like that, which wasn't the case.

I just saw Iceman's vote so now I feel free to comment.

I was going to say I do not think that vote should be counted as the person only voted in the one thread. I would not think the same if the person voted in at least a few threads.

To be very truthful, I actually think the votes should be closed to participants to the competition.

Well, we'll keep the person's votes for this week. It didn't end up effecting any of the outcomes. But, we'll put it to a vote. If even one person doesn't want the ruling changed, then it will stay the same throughout the competition. (And, don't feel pressured if you want to keep the rules the way they are.)

So, the ruling change would simply state that a voter must have 200 posts in order to vote in a thread. (I'm not going to stipulate about how many threads they have to vote in. Some times, even the contestants in this thing don't do that.)

If this was just for fun like the DTL, then it wouldn't bother me so much. But there are prizes involved in this contest. And I wouldn't want anyone to lose a prize because of this kind of vote. So I vote for requiring a post count.

I am ok for post count but would prefer that only participants can vote.

Just so everyone knows, even if a tie occurs when both characters are owned by the same contestant, we still have the same rematch rules. So, Spidercide vs. Wallflower-HoM will go into next week if we get no more votes coming in.

Even if that person chooses who will go forward?

Yep, rules state we have to have a winner by votes to move on. So, we want that winner to be clear to the person who has to decide between two very good characters.

I know it's kind of silly, all things considered....but, the people must be heard.

I say post counts need to be required as well.

Will this be eneacted for the rest of the tournament, or just next season?

Also, while it makes sense that only people who participate should vote, that would take out a couple of voters we have. I know Darren Daring has voted a number of times and his votes seem to be of reason instead of playing favorites. Plus, if we just had teh votes for only contestants, I think we would have to change the whoel "two ties goes to Sparta's thread" since that will be a much more open audience anyway.

No, we won't implement a rule stating only participants can vote. It's not what JH envisioned for this tournament, and I like it when other people get involved, just as long as they understand the rules.

And, yep, if it goes to Sparta's thread, it's popular vote, regardless of post count. You can never be guaranteed that the voters will read the arguments...but, by that time, we need a winner, and it's the best possible solution when we get two draws.

I also forgot to mention that yes he is an awesome man****e but mantis is a lesbian so the magical mangina would have no effect. llol

The following people have new matches starting tomorrow:

*^^JewishHobbit = 5
*Hellstormer, Wolverine25th = 4
Darthphere, DarkHellRider = 3
Kytrigger, Hippy Fascist, Iceman/Psylocke, Midnight Ice, Ahura Mazda, Powderman = 2
Trigger, Wiegeabo, Harlekin = 1
Phaedrus45, Zoken = 0

(A "*" means the person has two characters fighting each other. A "^" by your name indicates a rematch.)

Total wins for Round 1:

Phaedrus45 = 9
Hippy Fascist = 8
Darthphere = 7
JewishHobbit, Wiegeabo, Kytrigger, Harlekin, Ahura Mazda = 6
DarkHellRider, Iceman/Psylocke = 5
Hellstormer, Trigger, Wolverine25th = 3
Midnight Ice, Zoken, Powderman = 2

Total losses for Round 1:

Trigger = 13
Zoken = 11
Harlekin = 7
Midnight Ice, Wolverine25th, Wiegeabo = 5
Hellstormer, Darthphere, Iceman/Psylocke, Powderman, Kytrigger = 4
AhuraMazda, HippyFascist, JewishHobbit, DarkHellRider = 3
Phaedrus45 = 1

The following characters advance to Round 2:

Bracket 1: Durok the Demolisher(AHURA MAZDA) vs. ???(POWDERMAN)
Bracket 2: Iron Clad(WOLVERINE25TH) vs. Black Panther(HARLEKIN)
Bracket 3: Absorbing Man(KYTRIGGER) vs. ????
Bracket 4: Mysterio(POWDERMAN) vs. Gamesmaster(ICEMAN/PSYLOCKE)
Bracket 5: Vengance(HIPPY FASCIST) vs. Mantis (DARKHELLRIDER)
Bracket 6: Ch'vayre(ICEMAN/PSYLOCKE) vs. Synch(KYTRIGGER)
Bracket 7: ???(TRIGGER) vs. Swarm(PHAEDRUS45)
Bracket 8: Invisible Woman(DARTHPHERE) vs. Pestilence(PHAEDRUS45)

Ok, we only have one rematch, and that's between two of JH's characters, Spidercide and Wallflower-HoM.

I figure Darthphere wants Invisible Woman to advance to the next round; so, I advanced her. (Let me know if you'd rather have Siryn.)

I need a decision from Trigger on who advances in Zaladane vs. Meggan.
I need a decision from Powder on who advances in Captain Britain-Kelsey vs. Black Knight-Dane.

(If I don't hear a decision by next week at this time, the character with the most votes will move on.)

Mantis isn't a lesbian. :confused: And it wouldn't even matter. Matt Murdock can 'turn' lesbians.

Things are finally shaping up on the win/losses front. Only need another win to tie myself up, which should be happening next week.

Total wins for Round 1:

Phaedrus45 = 90%
Hippy Fascist = 72%
Ahura Mazda = 67%
JewishHobbit= 67%
Darthphere = 63%
DarkHellRider = 63%
Kytrigger =60%
Iceman/Psylocke = 56%
Wiegeabo = 55%
Harlekin = 46%
Hellstormer = 43%
Wolverine25th = 38%
Powderman = 34%
Midnight Ice =29%
Trigger= 19%
Zoken= 18%

The person or the character?

Anyway, it was Thanos...and, I believe he was owned by Johnny Blaze.

OMG! It's not going to be pretty this next week:

Stature (MIDNIGHT ICE)
vs.
Apocalypse (WOLVERINE25TH)

Johnny Blaze. And no, Thanos isn't in the game, nor are the other three finalists.

EDIT: Wow, I are late.

Darren Daring said:
Thanos, right. Is Thanos in this one, too?

Nope. The top four from last season have been disqualified from participating in Season 2. (Plus, we attempted to eliminate the uber-powerful...although, some might have leaked through.)
