Drax is before annihilation, but directly right after his miniseries. When we originally discussed him to be included, it was right after the Drax the Destroyer miniseries, and it really makes him much easier to debate. No worries about power gems or anything. In fact, if you look in the recent All-New Official Handbook A-Z, his bio is provided.

Powers, Weapons, and Minions: Drax possesses superhuman strength and durability, and has no apparent need for food or sleep. He has preference for bladed weapondry and hand-to-hand combat. The other entity known as Drax was much larger, stronger, an dcould release cosmic energy from his hands and fly. This Drax was also known to have been a wielder of the Infinity Gem.

(These are all out of 7. So, as you can see, he's topped out with durability and very, very strong.)
I hope this helps you guys out. Depending on how you look at it, you can say he's either at more of an advantage or more at a disadvantage now. While he's not as strong, he benifits by not being an idiot anymore.
