Am I the only one anticipating the new ongoing series? Fate is one of my favorite DC characters, and I think this series will be fantastic.

And while we wait for it, let's talk about "The Helmet of Fate."

Preview for THE HELMET OF FATE: IBIS THE INVINCIBLE #1

I enjoy the magical aspect of the DC universe, so I'm looking forward to this. I loved Detective Chimp and the Helmet of Fate, and I can't wait to read where the helmet ends up next. I like that preview as well.

I am looking forward to seeing the angel Zauriel and his experience with the helmet of Fate. :D

I'm not particularly excited, but I'll pick the first issue. I'm letting the oneshots and minis go though, because of budget concerns.

Gerber is awesome, but Gulacy on art has me thinking on the wait and see approach.

I will most definitely keep an eye out for the new Fate series.

I'm looking forward to this new series. I've never read or was interested in Dr. Fate before but with the floating Dr. Fate head in 52 it got me interested in what the character is about.

I checked out the Detective Chimp # 1 issue with the Helmet of Fate. It was a really entertaining read actually but there were some things that I was confused about in this issue. In the beginning of the issue Chimp says that he and the Shadowpact sent the helmet into deep space and whoever it went to got the power.

Now is this before 52 that he does this or AFTER 52 when he does this? Because there was absolutely no mention of Ralph Dibny having the helmet in his possession during this issue. I'm just kind of confused by it is all.

But definitely looking forward to this series.

Myabe what Ralph has isn't really the Helm of Fate, seeing as how this helm was broken into a partial mask.

Fate's helmet was sent to space during IC. It obviously came back to Earth because the destined "host" is on Earth. We already know it's none of the people in the minis but rather Kent's nephew who is named after him.

Ok, that's what I was figuring when I read the Detective Chimp book. That it was during Infinite Crisis they kicked it into space. So in between the Crisis, 52, and One Year Later we had a Doctor Fate helmet in space...yet one helmet floating along with Ralph Dibny.

Looks like Emerald King's theory of a second helmet or something/someone posing as the helmet may be. Well, that definitely clears things up a little better for me, thanks.

I'll pick up Zauriel and the first issue of the ongoing.

But I'm not particularly bothered about the title.

Fate's helmet was never in space, Captain Marvel threw it but didn't suggest he threw it into space.

The way I see it is that the helmet said: "Mother******r!!!!:cmad:" and made a u-turn immediately after hitting space and coming back to Earth, all the while cursing CM for throwing him away from his target. I don't think there's 2 helmets especially since we've seen that it still retains magic to be able to teleport Dibney and itself through different dimensions.

I'm just hoping that maybe the other one shots will help out as to what happened with the helmet. And I have to keep remembering that 52 isn't over yet and there is still plenty of story ahead of Ralph Dibny and the floating Dr. Fate helmet.
