Who will take what?

Nationally, no clue, but I see Kansas getting a little bluer this year.

Democrats gain control of House, tie in the Senate.

The Democrats will not gain control of the house - too many seats to make up. The Senate may see a tie, but if I were a betting man I would put my money on the Republicans keeping it by one.

The republicans don't deserve to hold the majority of congress. But in my eyes the only thing worse then the republicans are the democrats...the thought of Nancy Pelosi as house speaker makes me want to gouge my eyes out.

And the Democrats do? Heres a secret - neither party is any better than the other. They are both JUST as corupt and equally screwing you. Democrats screw you with taxes, Republicans by taking away liberties. The American government right now is as bad as England's back in the days of Ol' George. We need some type of revolution (preferbly in the form of independent politicians) to change this country for the better.

You don't know who Nancy Pelosi is, do you?

Or did you just stop reading after the part about the Republicans?

Yes, I'm well aware the both the democrats and republicans have their heads lodged too far up their ass to have any clue about what's really good for this country. But this country is ran on a two party system, and as screwed up it is, at this point it's pretty much entrenched. I just happen to hate the democrats more then the republicans, so unless this revolution happens within the next few weeks, I'd rather see the republicans keep congress.

I think Republicans keep control of both houses. Democrats have done nothing to get those seats.

After rereading his post - yes, I simply started posting after reading his first sentence - completely missing the point of the initial post :(:o

Sure I do - she is the the nut out there in California. That was beside the point. I am tired of people thinking that one party is better than the other ("the Republicans dont deserve congress") when in the end neither are helping this country.

Yes, but right after that he went on to see that the only thing worse than the Republicans keeping it would be the Democrats getting it:huh:

You really DIDN'T read the rest of his post, did you?

You caught me before my edit :(

I predict Democrats will sweep both areas of voting, and if something else must happen, then there will be a tie.But the Democrats will win something.

Let's stop being abstract and start being specific.

I think recent polls show Democrats will get a slim majority of the House. Lot of Republican districts have all of a sudden become competitive, such as Foley's, Boehner's, Schmidt (Ohio) etc..etc... and the Foley scandal and the Iraq War will be the end of Republican majority.

However, Senate I think will stay in Republican hands or at best be tied with Dems.

Tennessee - I hope Ford wins, but I'm a little skeptical voters will vote for the more aggressive, yet better candidate than the lackluster yet 'safe' candidate which is Bob Corker. The racial element in the election will still be significant. Tennessee has a very popular Democratic governor who has an approval rating of 65 percent (amazing). I don't know if that's enough for people to overlook the racist and negative campaigning that has been going against Ford.

VA - Allen is hitting back hard suggesting that Webb disrespects women and children. Allen's campaign has lifted passages from a bestselling FICTIONAL novel written by Webb which includes scenes of a war veteran witnessing incest, rape, and homosexual acts. I have a feeling this is going to get front page coverage until the election and will overshadow Allen's racist past.

Missouri I think Democrats can take, although it will be close. The attack on the Michael J Fox ad will blow up on Republicans. Missouri is a purple state that tends to represent the general mood of the country, and that I think gives the Democratic challenger some advantage.

Democrats will keep New Jersey, despite Menendez' poor performance in the polls. NJ is a Democratic state...yes the Democrats have a 'corruption' problem due to their monopoly on the state, but this isn't the year for Republicans to get that seat. The Republican has a famous last name, but I don't think that's enough. NJ is a blue state as they come.

Democrats will get Montana due to Conrad Burns list of embarrassment and having a strong, natural, outsider opponent. Democrats will sweep in Ohio due to the Republican incompetence and corruption. Democrats will keep Maryland. Democrats will get Pennsylvania and Santorum is finished. I don't know if I forgot any other close U.S Senate races.

Democrats take control of both...

Democrats will take both.

Originally I would have been skeptical about the Senate, however after reviewing all of the races and the particular circustamces in each one, I think they'll pick up the Senate too. Allen will go, Santorum will go, Burns will go, Kyl will go and DeWine will go. Ford will pick up Bill Frist's seat in the Senate.

Allen going is unlikely, I think. However, this does hinder any plans he had to make a run for the presidency. Being so close in his own re-election race will definitely make him think twice. Santorum, Burns, Kyl and Dewine will go.

As for Bill Frist's seat...Its a flip of a coin, I think.

Frist retiring worries me though. I think he is trying to take himself out of the spot light and distance himself from the joke the current Republican regime has become in order to make himself in a better position for a presidency run :-/
