it culd have been peter in new warriors though as wasnt the panel (correct me if I am wrong) cops getting a crook who had been webbed up? just to show other unregistered hero activity

It is possible that it is Spidey that webbed the guy up in order to show other anti-reg activity, I just didn't think it would have fit in the issue as well to be Pete as all the other anti-reg activity shown in the book was connected to the NW in some way. Ben Reilly was a former New Warrior, and it's been said that the team will be made of old characters with new identities, so I reched for a connection.

and yes, they are officially called the Scarlet Spiders, but there are others on the strike team not in the suits that will be shown in the next issue.

Ben is dead, but so was Jason Todd, Mar-vell, Hawkeye, Gravity, Bucky, etc... and they have all come back in the past few years. It's definately not unheard of in comics to come back from the dead, even if it is in a highly improbable and unrealistic way

Hmm, perhaps I was speaking too soon, because I was thinking and I came up with another theory after reading NA#31:

What if it turns out Peter is a skrull, and the real Peter is going to be in New Warriors, now they can retcon The Other...

Yeah its pretty far out, but speculating is fun.

That's an extremely interesting theory but I don't think Marvel wants another "two Spider-Man's" debacle again. They had enough problems with Ben Reilly.

I'm not opposed to that idea but short of Superboy Prime jumping ship to Marvel and punching the Multiverse Wall of Doom....I doubt we're going to see Ben Reilly.

But...if I'm proven wrong...then it would feel pretty damn good to be wrong. I just hope that he's brought back with some decency.

So Harry turned to dust?

I don't think Harry's death was like Reilly's anymore than it was like Norman's. I don't think Sam Raimi even knows who Ben Reilly is... any similarity is probably just coincidence.

But Harry's role was much more like Reilly's that is was Norman's. Look at his arc in the third movie. They go from being at odds with one another and fighting, to confusion as to who one is, to being at odds with one another, to acknowledging their friendship, their "brotherhood" in a sense, and even working together in superherocostumes to fight a few bad guys. And then, he saves Peter by jumping in front of him and being impaled on a glider.

His character was the most Ben Reilly we will ever see on screen.

Those people in the Iron Spider-Man uniform are probably just SHIELD people. And whoever this other Spider-Man person is in New Warriors I have no idea. I was just talking about how Ben Reilly was the "real" Peter Parker and it angered fans. Having another, "Oh wait, this Peter Parker was a skrull the whole time" might bring back those old Clone Saga feelings for some Spider-Man fans.

But having them be completely different people is a different story, of course.

Thanks, I even checked on Wiki.. But I have another question.. As Spider-Carnage, did he attempt to be good for a while (Like Black Spider-man) or was it like only two issues? Cuz Spidey had his symbiote for AWHILE, and I wonder is Ben did the same.t:

it was only 2 issues, and carnage was full of hate....when peter had venom symbiote it wasnt full of hate........hope tht makes sense it kinda did in my head....

^ i think it does. the venom symbiote was sorta good before anyway, but started doing bad things becuase peter rejected it. carnage was never good specially cos its first host wa sa psycopath
