Hah. I haven't posted here in years, and I dropped in to see if there were any people who were actually looking forward to this film. Judging by the trailers I've seen so far, I find it to be an interesting take on the franchise.
I'm a bit taken aback by the sheer amount of negativity towards this movie from posters on this message board, as I don't find the movie to look that bad at ALL. Even though I'm getting burnt out on superhero films (thanks, Avengers 2), I'll actually be watching this one, as the FF was one of my favorite comics growing up. I'm not a super diehard must-be-exactly-like-the-comics fanboy, nor have I ever been, even while I was growing up. I always knew that films need to adapt the content in a different way and "ground" it to a certain degree in order to make it a bit more believable, and I remain open to different interpretations of classic characters.
Maybe it will be good, maybe it will be terrible, who knows. I remain open, with my expectations well-managed. Just wish other people would tone the hatred down, as it probably scares away those who would actually like to talk about some of the things they like without being shouted down.
Just my 2 cents.
