The latest on the upcoming Fate action game.

Marvelous has released new details and screenshots of Fate/Extella: The Umbral Star introducing the game’s final two Servants—Medusa and Archimedes—as well as the Kizuna,

Side Missions, Install Skills, and Closet systems. The game’s opening animation was also released.
Get the information below.
■ Characters
Medusa

 • Voiced by: Yu Asakawa
 • Class: Rider
 • Noble Phantasm: Bellerophon: Bridle of Chivalry
 • Fate-Extella_09-12-16_001.jpg

A mysterious woman from Greek mythology. She is the last of the three Gorgon sisters. A hero established through evil―――She is a Servant of the anti-Heroic Spirit attribute. She is an existence close to that of a monster, but was originally an ancient, indigenous goddess.

Archimedes

 • Voiced by: Kazuyuki Okitsu
 • Class: Caster
 • Noble Phantasm: Katoptron Katopregon
 • Fate-Extella_09-12-16_002.jpg

A celebrated genius in human history. One of the earliest mathematicians. He does not participate in the Holy Grail War, but is a Servant entrusted to the security of the SE.RA.PH itself.

He was deemed worthy of trust and chosen by the Moon Cell as supervisor based on his ability, personality, and achievements. He is good with reason and rationale, doesn’t depend on his own views as much as possible, and strives to treat all things with objective honesty.

■ Kizuna and Side Missions

My Room

Fate-Extella_09-12-16_003.jpg

Between battles, you can pass the time with your Servant in “My Room.” Here, you can enjoy conversations with your Servant and prepare for the next battle.

Additionally, by increasing your “Kizuna Level,” which signifies your level of connection with your Servant, you’ll gain various benefits, such as an extra Install Skill slot, or maybe even trigger a special event.

Side Missions

Fate-Extella_09-12-16_004.jpg

For every stage there are various “Side Mission” challenges issued by Servants.

Although it won’t affect the clear conditions of the stage, if you do things such as “defeat a number of enemies” or “gain control of the base within the time limit,”

your Kizuna Level with your Servant will increase when the stage is cleared. The content of Side Missions change at random, and there can be up to five to challenge for a single stage.

strong>■ Install Skills

Fate-Extella_09-12-16_005.jpg

By setting Install Skills, you can bestow your Servant with new skills to strengthen them.

Skills are divided into three categories and offer a variety of effects

. Red are attack-type skills, Blue are defense-type, and Yellow are support-type.

■ Closet

Fate-Extella_09-12-16_006.jpg

By obtaining costumes in the game and via downloadable content, you can change outfits in the “Closet.” By changing outfits, not only will you fight with a different attire than usual, the event scene character illustrations will also change. Change into a flashy costume and the mood of a serious event may seem a bit different!

PS Vita, PlayStation 4
Fate/Extella delayed to early 2017 in North America, Noble Phantasm Edition announced

Published 7 hours ago. 73 comments.
Special edition includes hardcover art book, more.

Fate-Extella-Early-2017-Noble-Phantasm-Edition-NA.jpg

Fate/Extella: The Umbral Star has been delayed from its previously planned winter 2016 release in North America and will now launch for PlayStation 4 and PS Vita in early 2017, publisher XSEED Games announced.

The game will be available in standard ($49.99 on PlayStation 4, $39.99 on PS Vita) and “Noble Phantasm” ($69.99 on PlayStation 4, $59.99 on PS Vita) editions. The Noble Phantasm Edition will contain a 7.5×6.3″ hardcover art book featuring over 100 pages of high-quality artwork from Fate/Extella: The Umbral Star, a pack of 16 collectible 3×6″ cards depicting each of the game’s Servants, and a 24×17″ cloth poster, all housed in a custom box.

A new trailer released today introduces the game’s gameplay and playable Servants. Here’s the rundown, via XSEED:
Expanding upon the extensive and much-beloved Fate universe with a standalone story from acclaimed series writer Kinoko Nasu (of Fate/stay night fame), Fate/Extella: The Umbral Star, developed by Marvelous Inc., transpires on the new world of Extella through a diverse cast of “Servants” – ancient warriors of legend and imagination, always at their Masters’ orders – who survived the Holy Grail War that took place on the Moon. In a future ruled by the all-powerful lunar super computer Moon Cell Automaton, these champions now duke it out for dominance over this digital realm, known as “SE.RA.PH.” This story takes place after the events described in Fate/Extra, and depicts the world after that previous Holy Grail War.
Players will experience the story of Fate/Extella: The Umbral Star from the independent perspectives of the three heroine Servants and face off against foes from a variety of Fate productions, including characters from Fate/Extra, Fate/stay night, Fate/Zero, Fate/Apocrypha, and Fate/Grand Order, in fast-paced action. A new form change battle mechanic debuts in this entry to match its series-first gameplay style, transforming the player-controlled Servants and granting them considerable powers that allow them to devastate enemies and take formidable challenges head-on. The game will contain the original Japanese voices with English text.
In Japan, Fate/Extella: The Umral Star is due out on November 10. In Europe, the game is slated for winter 2016, but given North America’s delay, a European delay announcement likely isn’t far behind.
