If anyone cares the Ghost Rider trailer is the first preview shown on the Silent Hill dvd that comes out this Tuesday. It's nothing new but it still gave me chills like the first time I saw it.

how did it look quality wise? bright as the online version or was it slightly darker like the version in theaters (and where you could see better details in the skull)?
may go ahead and rent it just to see the trailer on my tv/sound system

It looked great in dvd quality. I guess it is a little brighter. And its awesome to be able to turn your tv volume all the way up.

could be becuase he might have been out of the loop on where it might end up.
studio's might take it upon themselves to promote a film anyway they see fit without having to check w/ the director....w/ certain exceptions of course.

Yeah pretty much. Sony is the one that mainly decides what previews go on their dvds.

And I personally loved Silent Hill. It is a great psychological suspense that keeps you thinking and there is some great moments of horror. I suggest everyone check it out along with the dvd quality trailer.

Great find Red. I'll have to rent the movie and see what it's all about... though I have already seen it twice in theatre. It wasn't a horrible movie actually but, that's not why I seen it twice. Just went the movies with 2 different groups, both wanting to see it.

I'll have to rent it now too!

I was looking forward to Silent Hill. I really enjoyed Ganz's Brotherhood of the Wolf and the production design was spot-on, but it was spoiled for me by flabby pacing and muddled exposition. Soooooo frustrating because it's the most faithful game-to-movie adaptation I've seen.

Grrrr. They'd better not screw up the Metal Gear movie.

I think it had a few overly cheesy moments and some really weak parts in the script buts about it. Metal Gear Solid has to be my favorite playstation game ever and I don't see a movie being any good unless they make it at least 90% direct adaptation.

Yup, I was surprised by this when we watched it last night. I LOVED Silent Hill when we seen it in theaters, as did my wife. Loved it JUST as much watching it again, glad it's part of my collection.

Best video game adaption to date, I hope for a 2nd on based on SH2.

Yeah, Silent Hill 2 ruled! I couldn't stop playing it once I got near the end. I HAD to get to that hotel room. And the revelation at the end, MY GOD!!
