The best choice for Alan Scott died this weekend :(

As amazing and legendary as he was and his death is sad; I never saw him as Alan Scott to be honest.

I don't think a director's previous films should be a consideration, other than the fact that he can direct. Tim Story, Fantastic Four director, made Taxi before F4. I didn't think he would be good enough, but he surprised me and made a satisfactory F4 movie. I say give Berlanti a chance. This could be his breakout film.

For Hal Jordan,

the younger, go with Nathan Fillion

for older, Greg Kinnear.

Out of all the examples you could choose. :(

He doesnt look exactly like the character but I have always like Scott Bakula for Alan Scott

If we're thinking A-list actors to play Hal Jordan (which I think would make more sense in terms of marketing, and casting.) what does everyone think of Wahlberg for GL, I know he's a little short but he looks quite like Jordan, and doesn't have the "pretty boy" image associated with DiCaprio.

I don't want that punk a$$ Wahlberg in any DC related film. He tried to talk trash about TDK and say that Max Payne would kick Batmans ass??

Yeah ooookay Marky Marky underwear model who can't carry a film and is a mediocre actor.....:o

RDJ did a similar thing.

I see as just marketing talk.

Whether they mean it or not doesn't take away their great acting skills.

Thought he did well in Planet of the Apes. I'm one of the few who liked it. :D

He was GREAT in The Departed IMO and Shooter was a good film IMO

Duhamel would be a good choice.....but if that midget Marky Mark gets cast as Hal. The movie will tank IMO. :o

He can't carry a film and he sucks....The Departed was the only decent role he has ever had and the only reason he did any good was because he was smart a$$ who made people laugh. He sucks!

Forget Alan Scott. The original inspiration for Hal Jordan has died. :csad:
I hope in the GL film that at the end credits, they should put 'This is dedicated to Paul Newman, the original inspiration for Hal Jordan', kinda like TDK when they dedicated to Heath Ledger.

anyway, he would've made a great Hal Jordan back then, RIP

Mark Wahlberg is actually underrated as an actor. He was brilliant in "Boogie Nights". He just has a tendency to do really bad films.

^ And people cant let go of the fact that he was Marky Mark fifteen years ago.

Shooter and Four Brothers had the problem of bad marketing because they both looked like cookie cutter formulas (and then kinda were to an extent) but they were definitely more entertaining and well-made than I originally thought they would be.

Mark Wahlberg is a great actor. And he's very likeable. I'm not entirely sure he's right to play Hal, though.

I don't think Guy Gardner should be in this movie.
