I hope in the GL film that at the end credits, they should put 'This is dedicated to Paul Newman, the original inspiration for Hal Jordan', kinda like TDK when they dedicated to Heath Ledger.

anyway, he would've made a great Hal Jordan back then, RIP

Mark Wahlberg is actually underrated as an actor. He was brilliant in "Boogie Nights". He just has a tendency to do really bad films.

Two films he was actually decent in.....

I just found my Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch CD. He wasn't even that good of a rapper, better than Vanilla Ice, but that's not saying much.

Don't know about casting GL, but does anyone else think the look of Hal in the Mortal Kombat vs DC game would translate awesome to film? I do.

It's still the classic look but has just enough of the armor and non-spandex thing going to make it work in a modern day movie.

I just complimented the work the game's artists in another thread, these guys should seriously get work doing conceptual art for all of WB/DC's upcoming projects.

Since its worth repeating, I'm still hoping that Sam Worthington is cast as Hal Jordan. And I like Robert Redford for Alan Scott as well.

Actually if the berlanti script does happen who knows if we would actually see clark kent/guy/etc.... end up in the final draft of the script or final cut of the movie at this point.

That's a very realistic choice. Given all the hype over T4 coming this spring; he could be the #1 choice for WB.

And I like Robert Redford for Alan Scott as well..

Is Alan Scott even in this? I remember Guy Gardner listed as being in this from the script but AS wasn't one of the characters included.

Alan Scott- Scot Bakula (different but interesting choice)
Thomas Kalmaku- Adam Beach
Kilowog- Michael Clark Duncan
Sodam Yat- Matthew Marsden (liked him in Rambo)
Vath Sarn- Karl Urban
Ganthet- Ian Holm (not very inspired though)

wanted to cast some of the female GLs but none of them were clicking so I filled it with Green Arrow and Arsenal
Green Arrow- Denis Leary
Arsenal- Scott Caan
