I hope to god that the people who saw it and didn't like it are in the minority. Speaking of screenings, has there ever been screenings for a movie that didn't turn out good which turned out to be accepted and liked by many people (the general audience)?

Speaking of Green Lantern, I didn't see a trailer for it when I went to see Thor. :cmad:

Same. :(

I got Captain America, Super 8 and some other movie.

To me, what did this movie in . . . toes on his boots. His boots have freaking toes.

The complaints about this film are a little ridiculous. Didn't WB give them 9 million more dollars towards FX? If they're still trying to get it to look better, that's just awesome to me. If the GA didn't think the CGI in Thor was bad, I'm sure they will like GL. I guess GL is going to have a lot, lot more CGI, though...

Has anyone else noticed every other YT comment on GL trailers & TV spots is "I thought Green Lantern was black?" JLU had a bigger impact than I ever thought it did.

how are you supposed to pick things up with your feet if you don't have toe boots

duh

The first trailer did bad and they are struggling to get all the FX and deadlines done. Forcing a ****** 3D conversion has badly affected this movie.

Lantern toes.

This is the GL equivalent of Bat-nipples

I can't believe that you just made that analogy.:whatever:

Just saying, they went overboard with the suit designs. Besides that they along with the domino mask look like terrible visual effects.

Why couldn't Hal have a practical suit and a practical mask?

The domino mask was always gonna be a problem. I don't see any way around it.

Lantern toes? That's really an issue?

Stop it. :o

Just stop! :cmad:

In all honesty right now my opinion of the suit and GL designs is that they are some of the best things I've ever seen come out of a comic book film. Its just so visually exciting to see, in a sense, a suit of living energy. I don't think any other hero's costume has jack **** on GL now.

I like the idea of it, I think it was daring and original, and with a more talented effects studio, it could have been brilliant. But I suppose they are dumping another 9 million into post. We'll see how that goes, that I don't expect to see much of a difference between trailer 2 and the final product.

Spider-man and Venom in Spider-man 3 had a costume that was a living symbiote.

Sorry I just don't like the design aesthetics of the suit. I don't like the look of the trailers. I think Reynolds is in over his head here. Hey let's see the movie prove me wrong. I'll attempt to see it early for sure. I'll be there opening day if not because I love Green Lantern and I've waited years to see it. But a bad movie is a bad movie.

And they weren't that great, nor were they as focused on those elements. I agree the GL suits would have been even better if ILM or someone more experienced handled it, but I think Sony (speaking as someone who does a lot of 3D modeling/rendering) has come a long way on this film alone. As long as the film does well enough for the studio to push a sequel forward, I have no doubt that people will be working their asses off in between films fine tuning the approach and methodology to the visuals to ensure that the second will be even more visually stunning.
