Not to burst anyone's bubble but that review from bestmovie.it is an April Fools review. It says so in the write-up (and translation).

EDIT: The post I was referring to has since been removed. The one currently above is real.

Regardless, I think "cinecomic nolaniani" needs to become an actual term. Or username, lol.

LOL! And I thought for a second while reading the review that I was wrong about the movie.

No I don't think so. Thalidomide said he got rid of the fake review so that one wouldn't be there I'm pretty sure.

No, that review is fine. There was another one which was glowing, but later determined to be an April Fool's Joke.

Was at the screening in London today, can't say much for now because of embargo but Iron Man 3 will be seen several more times by myself if any tickets will be available after the buzz gets out!!!

I think the embargo only applies for the reviews but if we talk as friends, you can say as much as you want :cwink:

I'm gonna hang out here for a bit because the Speculation thread has become Debbie Downerville. Unsurprisingly, none of the Debbies over there has even seen the movie yet.

It may be for you, but I prefer to wait until I have actually seen the film to judge it. I may hate it, I may love it, but I don't know yet.

well I mean, if a certain character isn't portrayed the way a fan wants said character to be, then that can certainly hurt their enjoyment. Just word that the character isn't going to be close to how someone may want the character to be can easily be enough to make someone decide they wont like it.

Personally I still think that even with this twist, there will be more to mandarin than what we think. Even though people saw the movie, Fiege said there will be things that won't be noticed until you see the movie a few times, which means people haven't picked up at those.."clues" yet

there's got to be more to him

I expect Mandarin to be viewed similar to Bane; many will have their complaints. My complaint is lack of powered rings; I had hoped given TA, IM3 would veer into the realm of science-fantasy. However, much as I've found many layers with Bane, I imagine others will find more the Mandarin than they see at first glance.

There will be much more Twitter reaction from the UK tonight after the London premiere. Then there will be professional reviews coming out over the weekend because there are press showings in LA with virtually no embargo period. The next week is going to be jumping with IM3 news and reactions.

It's a damn shame about the Spec thread, though. That turned into a cesspit real fast. :csad:

This isn't a review, but it is a conversation in which Ray Subers of Boxofficemojo.com argues that Iron Man 3 should be viewed as a spin-off of The Avengers rather than as the third film in a trilogy. That is a view I agree with, especially in light of the massive interest in IM3 from the GA.

    The Sleepy Skunk ‏@sleepyskunk 1h
Franchises that declined at the box-office with their third movie: The Matrix, Spider-man, Pirates Of The Caribbean, Shrek, Transformers.

    Ray Subers ‏@raysubers 55m
@sleepyskunk None of those were coming off THE AVENGERS.

    The Sleepy Skunk ‏@sleepyskunk 23m
@raysubers The closest would be Dead Man's Chest. Follow-up one year later, and 423M of non-3D, non-IMAX money in the bank.

    Ray Subers ‏@raysubers 19m
@sleepyskunk My argument has been that from box office perspective IRON MAN 3 should be viewed as a spin-off a la WOLVERINE or PUSS IN BOOTS

i've been avoiding spoilers and tv spots and clips etc etc and i feel bad for the people who won't be surprised in the cinema.

just got my ticket to the midnight showing in adelaide where i live. big screen, non-3d (hate 3d) and only 5 days and 6 hrs away!

these twitter reactions have me super excited.

^ The TV spots are just showing the same scenes over and over again.
