With the exception of Batman 3, it wouldn't surprise me in the least if no other superhero movie came out by WB in the next 5 years.

As long as the upcoming adaptions are good it doesn't bother me if they take a few years to get them finished. Slow and steady is better then rushed.

WB's already has got several DC adaptions in various stages which could be green lighted eventually. Maybe they're working out which would be their first priority after TDK though they prefer not to tell the public about it since theyre still in flux.

This is just speculation, of course.

That article is hilarious. For instance, how can they resume filming that never began? All the actors deals have been terminated, or they've moved onto other projects. THIS IS AN EX-MOVIE!
I think I heard this same thing for Watchmen...

Watchmen started at Universal in 2001. Then it went to Paramount. Then it got to WB. It's being released 8 years after they started writing it.

So that puts JL at about 2015 since you used Watchmen, right Antonio?

There is some buzz that WB is getting really serious real fast about Green Lantern.

2014. Or maybe earlier. But to declare it as dead is a bit premature to me.

That would be great. I wonder if they will want to stick with Berlanti as the director or try to bring in a director with more experience like Proyas, Abrams or Snyder? I think WB's should do that and just let Berlanti be involved in the writing and or producing.

It won't be Abrams or Snyder. They both have full plates at the moment. Abrams already got his next directing project lined up after Star Trek. And he's pretty firmly in there at Paramount right now.

A good Green Lantern movie about Hal Jordan instead of Miller's non-sensical JL trash would be nice though. There aren't excuses anymore. Iron Man proves it can be done, but the stars also need to align properly.

Whats Snyder up to next?

I think Proyas would be a good fit and I asked him two years ago on his website about doing a Green Lantern because I thought he would be a good fit and he said he liked Green Lantern Corp growing up, but he wanted to do Watchmen. Snyder got the gig of course....

I like the work of Proyas. The problem is his bad experiences with big studio movies. I think its for the better he doesn't do it. I like Proyas, but after I, Robot, he's better off not doing this.

Snyder I think is doing a CG animated movie next. And there's also the 300 sequel Miller talked about last year, if they do it. And you know WB is salivating over a 300 sequel.

If Watchmen is a success, Snyder is more than likely set for life as a director and could probably do anything he wants.

This film probably wouldnt have been in the mess it is now if they just have dropped miller months ago after the whole script/tax break issues. They could have found a better suited director moved it state side/canada and maybe get a better script and dump miller's cast for a better suited cast and we could have probably had filming start later this year after a few months of prep work under a new lead.

It's also a different cast and director now.

Fingers crossed that the same happens with JL.

See above, that has already been posted.

Let us hope that Gale actually gets some parts so we can all praise her acting...

With the movie going back on trails on 2009, i suspect that the release will be somewhere near 2011.

Do you agree?

A G.L. film huh? THAT would be great but, as everyone here is fond of saying, i'm not gonna hold my breath waiting.

Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggehein and Michael Green are writting a Green Lantern movie.

But ''Justice League'' will be better!

Hopefully nolan decides to do a 3rd film i would love to see what he does with batman on the run now. Plus with the wicked ammount of money the film has made wb would be fools to not give nolan anything he wants. Hopefully he is willing to do another.

Nolan, Bale, Third Batman movie > stupid Justice League Miller trash
