You know i was thinking about picking PS Tv up the other day.. anyone here own one if so how is it?

Being reported that the discontinuation is worldwide. Not too surprising, the concept was solid enough, but considering how little marketing there was, coupled with the the limiting library, it just wasn't made to survive.

Too bad, maybe sony need make PSVita 2 or what else the name with strong graphics more PS4 but with low price

Gundam Xtreme vs Force is coming out in region asia with english sub, but i wish sony and bandai make dynasty warrior gundam reborn in psvita physical / digital with english sub

You can't have a handheld with stronger graphics than the PS4 and have it at a low price too as of now. Maybe years in the future when the technology is cheaper, but as of now, there's no way.

Eh, if it's just a revision or a sort of souped up Vita like the Neo I don't think it's a big deal. It's a way to keep in the handheld market without investing much. If Sony themselves don't invest actual software in it, and it continues to be an indie and Japanese niche machine, it's not going to matter anyway

anyways, I just picked up a used PStv for cheap.

however, I'm having a hard time finding a Vita memory card locally and I look online and those things are expensive!!

is there any other way to store digital PSOne, PSP, and Vita games on the PStv without having to use a Vita memory card?

Nope. You pretty much have to delete and redownload with what you have.

Sony Interactive Entertainment president and global CEO Andrew House recently spoke about the company’s focus to remain on games and entertainment for the living room, and potential in smartphone games in a recent interview with Bloomberg.

During the interview at Tokyo Game Show 2017, House had a few things to say about seeing limited global potential for handheld gaming in the age of smartphones, and how Sony has no concrete plans to take on Nintendo’s Switch:

“The Nintendo device is a hybrid device and that’s a different approach and strategy,” said House. “We have not seen that as being a huge market opportunity,” he said in reference to handheld gaming outside of Japan and Asia.

He continued, “The Vita experience was that outside of Japan and Asia, there was not a huge demand. The lifestyle shift toward the dominance of smartphones as the single key device that is always with you, was the determining factor.”

Sony launched its own mobile games studio ForwardWorks last year, and since then the company released Everybody’s Golf as its first title. House said the unit is doing “fantastic.”

Lastly, House said he hasn’t seen any signs of the Nintendo Switch having an impact on content or hardware sales for Sony:

“That draws me to the conclusion that they’ve really been additive to the business in the last year or so. The folks at Nintendo have their strategy and that’s great. We remain focused around a highly connected gaming experience and also coupled with having a great range of other entertainment experiences so you can reach multiple people on the big screen in the household.”​
