Official Robin, Red Robin and Nightwing thread

I was about to make a Red Robin thread, but i thought that there wouldnt be too much to talk about. So lets talk about Batman's sidekicks in general including Damian, Tim as Red Robin, etc.

So let me start: How do you guys like the Red Robin series?

I I don't know. I loved how it started personally. Him going out on his own. He has his own batcave type place in the middle of the city. Given it was just like a storage place but it was cool. I'm not such a fan of the whole ras thinn now with the league of shadows. I really hope they turn it around soon. Also, the writting is kinda weird. Every issue has the same format. The timeline jumps. Before. Now. Before. Now. Grr

I dunno if there are any people who DIDN'T read adventure comics issue 3, but I thought that issue was very iimportant for red robins char. Thought that was the best issue story wise for him.

I also liked how he fought dick. I thought that faceoff was nuts. Again, I thought the early issues were cool. Him going out throughout the world isn't very entertaining to me

red robin has been decent. the last few issues have been getting stronger. solid ideas and stories, but the execution is a bit lacking.

Goddamnit! But it was nowhere to be found in the main "comics" board. It only appeared when i bumped it by posting there. Where the hell was it?

So i guess we can still talk about the Robins in general. How do you guys like Damian? I personally love him!

Damian is amazing! He is hilarious, and yet dark, brooding, spoiled, etc. And he has a great costume to boot!

Who would have thought there would ever be a lighter Batman and a darker Robin? I am having so much fun with the new dynamic duo, i wish Bruce doesnt come back too soon. I can even say that i wouldnt mind if he doesnt come back at all.

To be honost I agree with this statement more. I mean.... damian is cool. But id rather see him as an affiliate character. Tim drake is robin.

What if! Bruce comes back! And takes up the mantle of the bad. Drake takes up the robin mantle. Nightwing goes back to new york. Or bludhaven or where ever he's setting up camp now. And he takes damien with him to continue his trainiing? Eh? Eh?

I think that Tim has outgrown his role as Robin just like Dick did before him. Dick told him that when he made Damian his Robin. Robin is Batman's sidekick and student and Tim has graduated from the bat school. I suppose that Bruce could teach him a few more things but more or less he's done. Damian is the one that needs tutorship and guidance and he'll get it. Do you think that Bruce will let Damian off his sight when he comes back? He's his biological son and yet he barely knows him.

I dont know what Tim will do once Bruce is back, but he'll certainly wont be Robin. Maybe he'll keep the Red Robin persona.

Although I agree, damien would fit the persona of robin, dick greww out of robin. He learned whatg he learned and wanted to be his own man. Get out of batmans shadow. The reason tim made such a great robin is cuz he doesn't want to. He wants to be batmans robin. Soo I don't know if he's gunna give it up so easy

Dick did treat Tim as his equal, and yeah Tim has grown out of Robin... Either he'll stay as Red Robin or he makes his own new title.
