I thought it may be a neat idea to have a place to comment and remember some of our favorite actors that are no longer with us.

It has just come to my attention that Andy Hallett AKA Lorne the nightclub host demon from Angel has passed away. He was always my choice to play DC Comics Creeper/Jack Ryder.

Whoa, wait a minute, Andy Hallett died?

When?

I don't see anything about him being dead.

yeah...there's nothing on this....at all.

I have a friend that worked in an indie with him and he told me. The news should be getting around soon. I don't know all the details about how, but as soon as I find out, I'll let you know. It happened last night, that's all I know at this point.

Yeah, I met him at a convention a few years ago, he was a really nice guy.

This better not be a bad, early April Fools Joke. :cmad:

Or...maybe it better be :(

I didn't necessarily mean you were the one playing the joke.

Just a bit of wishful thinking. :(

$#!t, I hope this is not an early April Fools Day joke...

I thought he was great on Angel...

**** dude!!! this sucks balls man! Andy Hallet is the man

I always saw him playing DC's Creeper/Jack Ryder. He was a good actor.

Maybe this thread should be retitled once we have confirmation to honor Mr. Hallet more specifically.

I wonder what happened. Andy was excellant on Angel and seemed like an incredibly kind person in all the interviews I've seen or read of him. This is tragic news. I'm still hoping this is a misunderstanding of some kind.

:csad: Lorne....

I know he had a heart attack a while after the series finale, but I didnt think that 5 years later he'd be gone... :csad:

That's two great actor/characters from Angel that are dead now. First Glenn Quinn, now Andy... it's a sad day.

Anyone have any favorite Lorne scenes?

Soo many... particularly in S5.

"My little prince.... is there a Gepetto in the house?" from Smile Time (probably one of my favorite hours of television EVER.)

Also the scene in "A Hole in the World" where he cold-clocks Eve in the jaw when they're trying to find out who sent the sarcoughagus (I have no idea how to spell that) to Fred.

Yeah, Smile Time is probably in my top 3 favorite episodes of the whole Angel series.

I didn't know he had heart problems, it's too bad he didn't do a lot of acting gigs after Angel.

Second soldier down.:csad:
