Superman Returns Official Soundtrack Preview now Online!!!

I do have one question. Are they using The John Williams recordings for the main title march??

I don't think so...the theme sounds a lot crisper than in the 2000 release of the STM soundtrack. I think that Ottman is just conducting the piece with a new orchestra.

While that would be great, I'm sure there's some weird guidelines of time travel with not interfering for personal gain...what if that issue we take is supposed to belong to one of the greats like Wolfman, Johns, Busiek, Morrison, or Ross?

If "Back to the Future Part 2" has taught us anything, it's that buying something that'll make us rich in the future always comes back to bite us in the backside. :(

But that's why rules were made to be broken! ;) :D
Wolfman doesn't need his copy! He sure helped John Bryne ruin Superman. THATS IT! We have to go back to the year 1985! To save Superman from the evil John Bryne! :)

I may not have read Byrne's Superman run, but I do know that he hasn't done much better since...I dunno...things happen for a reason, except when the time stream's disrupted. Without Byrne, we might not have this awesome characterization we're seeing in One Year Later.

Time travel's fickel that way. "You change a thread, you change the world" and what not.

At least you are willing to hear it all before casting judgement; unlike some people.

Breaking through those OCP cybernetic barriers again? ;)

Yeah, while these previews sound good, I'm going to need to hear the whole thing to make a judgment, but I have enjoyed Ottman's previous work. I'm optomistic as well.

He's Back! Superman is Back - Yes!

wow just listened to those mini tracks - and after having read the SR novel last week, putting both together with what I read from the novel WOW!

Really something to imagine - thinking atm of the last few paragraphs of the last chapter and listening to track 15 was a very special treat!

All the tracks are absolutely Amazing!

If this film is better then the novel with Ottomans music

- hopefully at last a true quality sincere film of the life of a Superhero!

And its the Man of Tomarrow at that!

Thank You Bryan Singer for bringing back Superman!

Can't wait to see this film - I think this film will hit epic!

I really do.

Wow the music is incredible. WAY better than I expected. the "Saving The World" clip is the greates IMO.

IMO these tracks sound great. I read an interview with Ottman where he said that he was just going to use the original theme and nothing else, but as he began editing and scoring the movie he kept saying, "WOW! This cue would be great here. That cue would be great there!" And he ended up incorporating a lot more of Williams' stuff than he first thought he would.

Sure would be great to hear more before the 27th! It's just too bad that no one has a torrent or link to download the soundtrack in it's entirity. Not that I'd ever do that....(Cause I sure didn't do it for SW Eps. 2 and 3). And even if I did, I'd still buy the actual CD on release day...I just like having non-homemade CD's in my collection. (I mean I bought those others.) And if someone knows of a torrent or link...I hope they don't PM or e-mail me at [email protected] because they would just be wasting there time. ;)
