Life, Liberty and the Pursuit to kick major bad guy ass?

Can you show me where you saw that? I'd like to read that new information also. Thank you. :yay:

Superman made $391,081,192 WW sorry but that alone bring in a profit. Marketing wasn't 187M then add in DVD sales. It made a profit let it go.

You will deny it no matter how much proof you had the president of WB could be at your door tellling you that Singer is doing the sequel and showing you the profit they made and you would call him a lier.

This is a waste of time back to Spiderman.

What records did Spider-Man 3 hold on to after the Pirates opening? It still has the biggest one day opening, right? What else, if any?

Thanks for the info. I was hoping, but not expecting, for it to hold on to so many of its records. Glad it did so well...

It should hold on to those records for quite some time as nothing in the foreseeable future looks to open as big as SM3 did.

While I can't speak to the rest, the movie was a respectable box office hit. Not a blockbuster mind you, but it certainly pulled in enough money for Fox to immediately OKAY a sequel.

Plus it was not expected to do a huge box office. It exceded expectations. After opening weekend Avi anounced the sequel. :woot: Plus it only cost 100 million. This movie will be the suprise hit of the summer. It is going to be kick...

okay :whatever:

I predict 130 - 140 domestic

That's way too low, probably more like 200...but that is off-topic though.

Think about it, the first one barely made it to 150 million, and it was really criticized. Many people who saw the first one won't bother to see the sequel.
Besides, SM3, POTC and Shrek 3 are still gonna make alot of money. I don't think many people will want to see more movies this summer. Transformers, FF2, The simpsons movie, I think none of them will reach the 200 million mark. Only Harry Potter looks to be a contender.

IMO, SM3, Shrek3, and POTC won't reach the 400 million mark, and it's not because people don't like them anymore, its because of the huge competition between them. They should be happy with reaching the 330 - 350 million mark.

^ I don't know dude... the Transformers have a pretty big following. The FF2 movie looks like it's gonna be better than the first one. And people have been anticipating The Simpsons movie for 10+ years.

I don't want to go too much off topic but I would have to disagree with you. I think FF2 is going to surprise at the box office and out gross the previous film. The first film was a fun movie and with the SM3 and POTC 3 being somewhat dark in tone, I think families and the general audience will eat up FF2...I think 200 million is in store for FF2.

Anyways, back to SM3, I'm hoping it levels off a bit now that the big three are out. You could see that the drops are getting smaller every week so hopefully that trend will continue and develop some late run legs so it can get to 340 million domestically.

If the WB is smart they will continue with Singer, unless they want to go the Fox way of course.

Dude, even X3 is a better movie than SR. That movie Hulk'd all over itself. It tried to be something bigger than itself and failed. There is nothing gratifying in its message, theres not one quoteable line, and the only somewhat memorable scene is the excellent plane sequence, the only bit of action. I'm not for the all-out action with no plot, but if plot is real estate scheme goes awry, and the message is "Superman gets nothing out of defending the people of Earth, is more emo and weird than Peter Parker, and only decides not to die because he finds satisfaction in having a kid, then I would prefer anything else.

Maybe you're right. But I don't know, I have a bad feeling about Transformers I think is gonna be really dumb with bunch of plot holes.

Have you seen the Simpsons trailer? It didn't get me excited at all. And trust me, I'm a simpsons fan. It just looks like the last seasons where Homer gets in trouble, and gets hit by a car, falls down of a ledge, and Marge gets angry with him. I wish it was like the old seasons.
