Official Spider-Man 3 Box Office Thread - Predictions and Forecasts

I think it's cool I like that we have things to talk about when there is no new info on the box office. As long as we don't go on a insult rampage or talk about potentially offenseive topics I would think we could be fine.

I agree. .........actually I just had to post something cuase I accidently unsubscribed to the thread. And rather than just subscribe back I decided to post. Lazy I know......but its actually more work.

The only place SM3 stumbled in the box office was the second weekend drop. Other than that its been impressive, especially considering how the second sequel usually does (except lotr, which doesnt count because its one continuous story) and Batman Forev, because that was 1995, a year that never happend according to most.

I disagree I think every week has been a disappoint except it sort of redeemed it's self a little this weekend and did better than it should of on POTC3 Opening weekend.

Opening weekend for SM3 was amazing but then that very monday started the downward spiral.

I think your wrong in a way to be honest.

It isn't that we expect more than we should it's that it should be doing better than it is. Lets face it Spiderman had a record breaking opening so by all acounts it should beat SM2 domestic but it won't it had a huge drop off much bigger than it should have before any of the competition even came out. That's disappointing. No one was asking for to much we were just asking for what would make sense.

Then what's SM1/SM2's reason for NOT making 500M+ overseas like SM3 did? I guess they should have done better than they should have too. Not to mention, most people stating that SM2 was better than SM1, yet it made less money (domestically/overseas/WW), how does that make sense?

Fanboys are fullbleed idiots, a movie can make over 300M and half a billion overseas (...and counting) in less than a month, and they dare to use the word: disappointment. You remind me of the fools who were pissed because SM1 didn't beat Titanic, just because it made 114M opening weekend.

Just got back from pirates. Better than the 2nd one way better, but not the first. It was good with good action and effects. It was utterly confusing and not as good as spider-man. In my opinion.

I remember it well twas a musty night. The two argued for hours over Spiderman1 one of them hated it the other loved it. Finally when the fight hit it's apex the Spidey fan lost it and right out the anus it went. He was declared the winner for having far more passion.

I agree though not sure if I want Spiderman to have another film yet or not it could be a disaster if Raimi doesn't sign up because he might be leaving and if he leaves Dunst and Tobey said they wouldn't come back.

I honestly don't want the original cast and crew to return. They have made a great and satisfactory trilogy, tying up all the loose ends and completing all the arcs. I would rather see a fresh cast and director at the helm, delivering something new and unique to the Spiderman franchise.
