I honestly don't want the original cast and crew to return. They have made a great and satisfactory trilogy, tying up all the loose ends and completing all the arcs. I would rather see a fresh cast and director at the helm, delivering something new and unique to the Spiderman franchise.

Yikes I cringe at that thought. I wouldn't want to see anyone else playing spiderman at this point if they continue with this franchise I will not watch spiderman with out Tobey now if they just do a Spiderman film and it isn't necessarily tied to this film and it isn't consider Spiderman 4 but rather just a Spiderman film period I may watch it.

But (Opps started with a but ) doing a Spiderman movie with out Raimi is dangerous they know he can put something good out and it would be risky to take a risk (Duh) on someone new we could end up with a Zak Penn like person running the Spiderman show.

I am referring to more a fresh reinvision of the franchise, not necessarily a sequel, nor another origin story. More along the lines of the new Hulk movie. I've also never been a big fan of Maguires Parker which is why I am probably a fan of a change. Obviously theres a chance that we may recieve a Ratner style take on the movies, but I'm more willing than not to give a new director the chance to deliver something fresh and unique.

I dont know you, but I'm pretty sure you would see a Spiderman movie if Jeremy London Was playing him. I'm sure you would still see one if it were Jason London.

I would prefer if the original cast and crew came back for another, but if not a new director and a new Peter/MJ with the same supporting cast would be fine. I agree though on having it have little to do with the original trilogy, have it be like a new artist has taken over drawing them. Just no reason to recast JJJ, Gwen or Aunt May.

I'd definitely see a Spiderman movie if Jeremy London was Peter...wow you've got me excited now

Your right you don't know me. If they continue with another Sequel and change the cast I WILL NOT watch it. If like Ghost said it's just a spiderman movie and isn't played as a continuation or sequel like the Hulk movie I may consider it.

In reply to Ghost I would rather keep everyone we have then take the risk of some crappy Ratner or Penn movie because that's my money getting spent on the movie. I would rather spend it on a good movie and if it turns out bad ill be pissed.

While they could find an excellent director, whoever they get will at least have a better screenplay to work with than X3.

I'm a risk taker, and I love change. Raimi's formula has gotten a bit stale after three movies, I would just like to see what another director could achieve.

I'm a risk taker with my life I love to do crazy things but as far as my money goes not so much. I don't value change especially when it screws me over

How do you know that? There isn't an official screen play yet. It could be worse hell they may even decide Zak Penn is the guy to write it.

Didn't Koepp say he was hired to write the 4th?

No clue but that still wouldn't mean much in today's comic movie world look how many writers have been changed recnetly.

Wonder Woman
Punisher
Hulk
Flash

The last two or three years all of these had one writer hired and then that writer was let go and they have to get some one else.

That's the movie buisness in general, nothing's permenant until the films wrapped. Hell they've fired actors/writers during filming, e.g. Michael Cera 'Knocked Up' and James Purefoy 'V for Vendetta'.

I don't mind Koepp as a writer. Sometimes his dialogue can be pretty corny, but he's a solid writer nonetheless.

I think they´ll do similarly as in the first and second, Koepp will provide a first draft with the basic plotline and action pieces and Alvin Sargent will step in to refine character development and dialogue.

So, Pirates DID break some Spidey records after all... but it remains to be seen how frontloaded it will be. So far, both big threequels were pretty frontloaded and reactions to POTC3 don´t suggest any differently.

I agree though not sure if I want Spiderman to have another film yet or not it could be a disaster if Raimi doesn't sign up because he might be leaving and if he leaves Dunst and Tobey said they wouldn't come back.

If there is a 4th movie, Tobey, and Rami will be back. They won't be able to turn down the money they will be offered.

Not True Rami is being considered to make a live action Hobbit movie and has stated that he isn't sure which one he wants to do. I think everyone would be happy to have a change and move on to another project. Tobey and Dunst in most interviews seem like they are tired of doing spiderman and have clearly stated that if Sam is doing the next Spiderman they WILL NOT do it. Rami seems to favor the hobbit movie.

Well, it's cool to see Spidey hang onto the 3-day record. Always good news...

As for a fourth Spidey film, I'd say they have more than ample profit from the film and the merchandising of it to finance another film....or two. On top of that, it's still got a ways to go. I fully expect it to cross 350 domestic before it's all said and done with.

As for Pirates, I didn't go see it this weekend. I've heard mixed reviews, and so I went and saw Shrek 3 (for free)...and INSTANTLY wish I would have went to see Pirates. Ugh.

Congrats to Pirates on a huge opening, and congrats to Spidey on hanging onto the 3-Day record.

I think people are a little too concerned with the 350m mark. Regardless of that, I´m sure the movie will be considered very successful for the studio and guarantee another sequel. I mean, how many movies make over 300m domestic and 800m worldwide every year? Last year it was only one!

Honestly, I could care less about the 350 million mark. I'm sure that Spidey 3 made more than enough to guarantee another sequel in about 3 years. I fully expect 2010 or 2011 to give us another Spidey film.

Ghost X give it a TRUE final film- marriage and the Lizard. After that go a different route. This story isn't over yet. "This is a story about a girl. That girl, Mary Jane Watson." Not "this is a story about my best friend. That friend, Harry Osborn."

He's got the girl and there are no more obstacles preventing their relationship to blossom.

Okay, I'll say this: After I saw the first film, I was terrified of a sequel ruining it. I did not want a sequel at all.

Then I saw part 2, and it still is the best Superhero film of all time. I saw it, and I did not want a sequel, for fear that it would ruin it.

Then I saw part 3, and I loved it. Now, I find myself in the same position, and not wanting another film to ruin it.

As for me, I could preach up and down that there shouldn't be a part 4, but, at the end of the day, I would go see a part 4 if the story interested me, and it had the same cast and crew. I would love to see The Lizard, Kraven, and the marriage...that would be a nice, hearty, emotional movie.

That being said, if they leave it at 3, I'll be ecstatic...bot we know there will be a four, so I'm just going to hope for the best possible sequel we can get.

Still feel the need to wrap EVERYTHING up then a few years later do Peter Parker: Science Teacher: Superhero version. That would be cool and different. Don't necessarily have to see the origin again- similar to SR it could be a "loose sequel"

Anyone bothering to post on this thread I am assured would pay to see Spiderman 4 directed by Brett Ratner and starring Jeremy London with Matthew Modine as the Beetle. A fourth film with Pete and MJ marrying directed by Raimi and crew would be best, but I am sure you dont have the willpower to pass up any sequel. Theres no future in your blantant frontin.

Sorry man your simply wrong. I refuse to watch anything Ratner ever touches again that's for sure.
