Anyone bothering to post on this thread I am assured would pay to see Spiderman 4 directed by Brett Ratner and starring Jeremy London with Matthew Modine as the Beetle. A fourth film with Pete and MJ marrying directed by Raimi and crew would be best, but I am sure you dont have the willpower to pass up any sequel. Theres no future in your blantant frontin.

I actually want you directing Spiderman 4,

Matthew Modine as Beetle, Inspired casting!

I wouldn't watch another Ratner-flick if it was Superman with a Christopher Reeve that was actually plucked out of the freakin' timestream JUST to do the film.

The only possible way I will ever watch anything that Ratner touched again would be if either Christian Bale or John Cusack were in it because I'll watch anything with them in it even if it sucks and I know it will suck I will go watch it because it's Christian bale and John Cusack.

What was Christian Bale in that ever sucked? That doesnt even make sense, because Christian Bale being in a movie automatically means its a pretty good movie.

I would watch The Crow 5: Bird Revenge if Bale starred.

He has had some obscure movies that were not very good at all but in the last 5 or so years everything has been good

Sorry man your simply wrong. I refuse to watch anything Ratner ever touches again that's for sure.

Sure he sucks on Superhero films but if you want to miss out on his cool comedies like Rush Hour 3, your loss.:oldrazz:

I will gladly miss out on Rush Hour 3 lol Rush Hour 1 was decent but not impressive and 2 sucked hard

Not True Rami is being considered to make a live action Hobbit movie and has stated that he isn't sure which one he wants to do. I think everyone would be happy to have a change and move on to another project. Tobey and Dunst in most interviews seem like they are tired of doing spiderman and have clearly stated that if Sam is doing the next Spiderman they WILL NOT do it. Rami seems to favor the hobbit movie.
But Tobey even stated that if theres a good story to tell then he will be in it and IMO there is defenitley Characters from the Comics such as the Lizard to make a good story in a 4th Film. Not to mention that even though Tobey now has a daughter, he's still open to play Spidey as long as theres a good story for the film which I think is a great thing especially if Sam is directing since he directed the first two films so greatley IMO.

Actuals are in:

USA...estimates:18 millions ......actuals:$18,112,261

Overseas....estimates:499 millions......actuals:$500,997,234

OVERALL:$808,751,817 :woot: :woot: :woot:

Yeah, half a billion is very impressive. 2007 maybe remembered as the summer of sequels, but we fans know otherwise-it is the summer of Spider-Man!

Basically I see it topping out at around $350 million in the US, maybe a little more. That's pretty much in line with what I predicted up above.

4 day actuals are in. Updates below.

Pirates $ 139,802,190
Shrek 3 $ 67,010,012
Spider-Man 3 $ 18,112,261

It could possibly overtake Spider-man 2 US if it's lucky. But that would mean the next couple weeks of dropoffs would have to be ridiculously low, which I don't see happening with all the big movies coming out.

Either way, Spidey 3 got it's records back and made huge money worldwide, and more to come on DVD.

Last year I remember reading that King Kong needed about a $1 billion to put Universal ahead. That's really just to give you an idea how the so-called profits and what a movie reportedly made can be misleading at times.

Spider-Man 3 seems like it will stay #1 this summer. All is good with the world. :)

Other films may take it, but Sparrow doesn't look to have it in him this summer for the gold.

My predictions at this point are

SM3 335-345
POTC3 325 -335
Shrek The Third 325 - 335

I am nearly postive on SM3 but POTC and Shrek are very loos predictions at this point especially POTC since it has really only had an opening weekend. Basically I just felt like posting something because I was bored.
