There is no way that Transformers is going to bomb. Lol.

I won't go into how stupid that made you sound in my books.

I don't thin it's going to bomb . But, I don't think it will be success either. I feel it will be something similar to what happened to SR. Not a hit not a bomb.
My guess is 180 - 200 million.

Pirates made almost about 160 million during the whole weekend..I definitely expect it to drop no more than 52% next weekend and steadily have fewer drop off percentages until later when its run starts wanning around the beginning of august!..Spiderman 3's basically on its way down and soon enough..its gonna make its final domestic gross by the end of july or even before..I really dunno about Shrek 3 as of this moment because it really had a steep fall off last weekend(so weird for shrek!!!)...

Definitely the KING of the summer box office will be Pirates:At World's end..will probably end up around 370-380million..or even higher if its drop next weekend really isn't too steep(50-55%)..

Spiderman 3's fate is already sealed cause it came out ages ago..Its total domestic run will be about 340-350..Nothin more than 350..Just impossible..it already started losing momentum way too early so it can't get higher than that..Fact!

Fantastic Four: Rise of Silver Surfer is gonna open somewhere around 80million and it may be the surprise of the summer...I predict 200M-230M..

You do realize Spider-Man 3 has already made over $800 million worldwide right? Pirates didn't make "almost $160 million" over the weekend. It made $139.8 million over the four day Memorial weekend. Where did you come up with $160 million?

Potc 3 will crawl to around 305-310 mil around the same numbers of the first one. It cost about 300 mil to make so they will need overseas and dvd sales to cover the production and marketing costs. 305-310 mil is being admitted by the fanboys over that at Piratesmojo. I think its safe to say Spidey will win the year.

Can you believe many mexican broadcasters are saying that POTC broke all of Spidey records. They're saying things like Jack Sparrow kicked spidey's ass. They laugh saying SM3 records lasted just a couple of weeks. It makes me angry.

Top three? Nope. Top five? You better believe it.

I often play trailers and movie clips before class.... and the ONLY TRAILER - the ONLY TRAILER- that ever got a response before class is Transformers. I had around 30 guys looking at my laptop screen before my back before the midpoint of the trailer. And the response for each? ****ING AWESOME!

Yep, that sure looks like a bad omen to me- LMAOL.

If you read the F'in post, you will see that I said it will MAKE AT LEAST $100 million!! SR made $200 million and is still considered a disappointment.

As said, didn't exactly understand the message of your post. But, thank god you actually didn't imply what I thought you did- Stealth numbers... didn't take it personal, was just overly surprised if you meant what I thought. Because that would be- wow...

Definitely better than the SR effect. If my experience with my "showing" of the Transformers trailer is any example of what's going to happen- expect to see at the very least 'War of the World' type numbers. In a class of fifty, all of the guys (around 15-20) lined up behind my computer one by one in a matter of seconds asking me to play it over and over and over again. And dude, they more than loved what they saw. If that is a 'test survey' I am really looking forward to the results.

Note- I am not saying top three. But top five? I see that as a definite.

Also unlike SR- you've got off the chain action sequences, EFFECTS NO ONE HAS EVER SEEN BEFORE, overall fun and not more dramatic and serious (expect ALOT of kids as well due to this factor), and out of all of the summer movies it is one of the FEW that is not a sequel. Thus, when everything feels "seen it before, when do we gets something else?" Optimus Prime will drive right up and welcome them in with open robotic arms- "My name is Optimus Prime."

Not to mention that once the marketing campaign hits- the world will be Transformers everything, case in point- they have Transformer, wait for it... WASH CLOTHS!!!! I don't know the main pro of that, but what I'm trying to say is- expect to see Transformers everywhere when they start to release alot of this stuff this Saturday.

It's definitely bound to make more than SR. I loved SR, but it was lacking in what the summer crowd wants to see- a fun, action packed, friendly thrill ride that brings new to the table. TF has that down.

Pirates aint gonna come close to SPiderman in terms of numbers..maybe WOrld Wide but not domestic if we could include Tuesday and Mondays numbers for Sp[iderman 3 weekend it would have been up to 175 million

Pirates gets to 160 million on Tuesday..it had a pretty damn good weekend..and has a good start.

So far it goes like this

Pirates 3
Shreck 3

and I bet you Pirates 3 drops about the same as Spiderman 3 next weekend

Also, the arrangement of movies makes Transformers a prime hit of the top five.... HOW MANY MOVIES THIS SUMMER ARE NOT SEQUELS?

All this ruckus over Pirates 3 opening weekend is quite entertaining..Aren't people supposed to be watching movies because they actually LIKE the movie and want to experience it in the cinema?? Some of you are just sounding like you are watching Spidey 3 to do SONY a huge favor..Good Lord!!..I won't be a hypocrite and say i don't care about Pirates 3's opening weekend but it definitely doesn't overrule my decision to watch it 4 SURE!!..This whole pirates 3 vs spidey 3 thing is beyond immature..Its something 10 yr olds would say and it will be okay..Anybody who is above 12 yrs old and is actually involving themselves in that is just a CHILD..and a spoilt one at that...The facts are already in..I really don't get this stuepndous hesitations from some people..Pirates opened on bigger screens, there is twice the demand for it than Spidey 3 and it has a better word of mouth...WTF do some of you think is gonna happen?? I just checked BO Mojo and Spidey 3 is already at $308 million, not bad. I think 340 are secured. Hope it can reach the 350 mark.
