Don't expect to see Smaug in the trailer though. Not this early. I'd be very surprised if he shows up in the trailer.

Just saw the new picture and read the article.

The Tolkien fan in me is physically ill.

Looks like our favorite non-canon elf warrior princess does, in fact, have a love interest.

nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo :cmad:

You mean a [blackout]dwarf[/blackout] love interest?

Smaug we won't get frontal but maybe another pan of his eye or an ass shot.

And with The Hobbit being unnaturally extended like this I think we need some cool non canon stuff. Not too interested in them being love story sub plots though.

Edit: unless it's the above lol.

What if the love interest is Bilbo, and a dwarf? A Hobbit-Dwarf-Elf love triangle.

Smaug lusts after her too.

There are so many porn opportunties.

And yet Game of Thrones sex scenes are still more hardcore than that would be.

Saruman rages into disappearing smoke after having a delightful night with her, finally getting his canonical end. Don't mind the fact that it makes no sense.

:hrt: Really looking forward to seeing her character in action.

I don't know what to believe anymore. We've gotten more exposure towards a made-up female elf warrior than we have of Beorn. They're priorities are clearly all ****ed up.

There is a precedent for weird sex: one of the earlierLOTR scripts had Frodo and Galadriel doing the nasty.

eh. most people's priorities in general are all f***ed up. I don't see the big deal.

Am I the only one who just hates the official production photos for the Hobbit? There's too much clarity that my brain can't digest the 'fantasy' and opts for the reality. So instead of Lilly as an an elf-warrior, I see a cosplayer instead.

Maybe it's the lighting in the general that throws me off.

Photo looks like crap, Tauriel looks like crap, her addition still sounds like crap. But hey, that's nothing new in my miserable little world.

Probably a 48 fps still.
Remember when the first image of Bilbo came out. It looked "off".
Till we saw the movie and it pretty much was just like the movie.

I think that could be it. It just takes away from the fantasy, and all I see is an actor in costume. It's so weird because it's hard to describe but I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels that way. I'm not blindly hatin', if you smeeeelll...what the Oct is cooking!
