Not a fan of the glossy look. And this looks really cgi-heavy. The other trilogy is already starting to show its age .

Not only you didn't like The Hobbit's visuals, then you put down Lord of yhr Rings'? Debbbbie Doooowwwer

This is my favorite trailer, actually. It's got me far more pumped for the film than the previous trailers/teasers. I can't wait.

The colourful look fits the Hobbit more than LOTR's more grounded approach would have. Whether Jackson does it or not (probably not) you could actually buy that this is a world where beasts can converse.

Still, I would be lying if I didn't say that I miss the warmness and grain of 35mm film a little. There is the cold artificiality characteristic of digital blanketing every frame.

I quite like all of those, though I don't like the idea of Middle Earth having a common law concept of liability, negligence and contract.

Anthony Scalia = The Witch King :hehe:

Nine dessicated freaks in black robes tempted by lust of power: the Supreme Court or the Ringwraiths? You decide!

Oh man. Gollum is awesome!

I still see a lot of John Watson in Martin Freeman's performance, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. They're kind of alike when you really think about it.

Me too. The mere fact that there were no dwarves singing automatically puts this trailer above the teaser. I also loved the scene where Bilbo was laying out the terms of the riddle contest with Gollum. "Fair enough." :hehe:

That was such a Dr. Who moment there (meaning that in a good way).

The Hobbit is my favourite book and this trailer looks like it'll live upto it.

I loved the part when Bilbo is running and says "Im going on an adventure!" Lol

"More like a letter opener"

haha cue the laughter in these videos lol

The teaser pulls off the serious tone for the Hobbit films and this new trailer has more of the playful aspects for the film. I dig both.

Gollum has officially become ugly cute.

Did Tolkien write that Radagast had a bunny sled? I have a hard time believing Tolkien would come up with something so silly borderline stupid.

Yes, in fact there is going to be a romantic plot line involving him and an Elf warrioress with blue hair played by Rihanna.

Take a guess.

Thank god! I didn't think that was something Tolkien would think up. Damnit Jackson!

The line at the end from the dwarf, "Well, that wasnt so bad." Instantly made me think of Pippin. The delivery was very Pippin.

The whole scene seems ill conceived to me. Where is the frightening Gollum that makes Bilbo utterly unnerved and witless?

Don't get me wrong, I think this will be a great movie, but they missed an opportunity to alter Gollum's appearance to make him more physically threatening.

Remember, by the time we see him in LOTR, decades upon decades have passed, and he's been thoroughly and systematically tortured by the orcs. So it's not like he'd be the same man in any event.
