I think it be nice if they would post a review weither they liked it or not. Just a vote doesn't help the undecided.
Well maybe the voters will post a review when they've seen both. I personally won't see it until Saturday because of work, and because of work won't be online til Sunday afternoon to even review ONE viewing more than likely the 2D.

I see we have 4 10/10 votes. Sure would like to see some of there reviews.
Was just going to mention this. Would love to see what people liked & didn't like..high & low scores.

I don't like Astin's Sam, what is your problem? Did you miss when I praised the films, or does it not help your crying and thus you simply ignored it? You're the one who can't seemingly help him or herself.
It's quite obvious that you don't like Astin's Sam. You could almost say it's an obsession.

My problem is posters like you. Debbie downers who gripe day in and day out.

No, I didn't miss that. Split personallity?

That wasn't crying, it was face palming with words instead of an image icon.

I believe I can help myself rather well. Been here 4 years. Read everything but don't post much. I don't feel the need to bring others down by moaning in post after post after post every single day. Your repetative moaning finally got to me.

I sometimes do wonder if he does like The Rings movies or not either way.

You know how difficult it would be to fit character development and motivations for every single damn dwarf? Especially in one film!

If Fellowship of the Ring could handle 9 characters, why could the Hobbit only handle Bilbo, Gandalf and Thorin? With minor touches to Dwalin, Balin and Fili.
Anyone saw Jacksons cameo? Was he maybe the mohawk dwarf in the prologue?

Are you talking about the Moria conquest? That was young Dwalin.

Where are all these post on Astin's Sam? I have mentioned him what, twice outside of larger overviews of the films.

You'd might have a point if I didn't right plenty of words to support my points overall. All you have done is complain about a poster.

Being overly optimistic doesn't make you a good poster, nor does ignoring the writing on the wall.

I like the good ones. Not sure how much you like the films though. Apparently you don't know the musical themes. ;)

Also you just admitted there is more then then one movie.

Here is the big contradiction. On one hand there is the argument that we need all this extra time to introduce and get to known all the Dwarves. On the other hand, we fill up all this extra time with stuff that has nothing really to do with the book or the Dwarves.

Yet with all these introductions and appendices material that needs to be seen on screen, apparently the first film doesn't quite use all this time.

The 1/10 seemed to pop up a bit quickly.
There's always 1s out of 10 straightaway on a blind poll. If people have to be accountable they are fairer with their marks. Even if they compeletely hate it there's likely enough to give it at least a 4 & differentiate it from a true 1/10 film. :woot:

The appendices material doesn't need to be on screen, neither does Radagast, Old Bilbo/Frodo, or the White Council. The movie is full of fluff it doesn't need

You have caught me. I am clearly the one out of ten. :woot:

I like to at least see a film before i constantly point out its flaws. lol

It's a bit easier when the characters are so diverse though. All the characters aside from the last couple of hobbits in the Fellowship are very distinguishable from each other in appearance, motivation, mannerisms etc which starts the character creation process by itself. It's always difficult with a large number of main characters & FOTR did a great job but maybe that is part of the reason it was able to do so.

Hate to tell you Jr I have watched all three LOTR EE movies probably more times then the post I have on here. I know the themes perfectly fine. When I leave this world In my will it states that i want the song into the west playing. Thats the song at the end of movie 3. In case you don't know.

Lets put it this way Rings is My Number 2 Favorite Trilogy only after Star Wars 4,5, and 6.

I have always pointed out these possible flaws since the moment I heard they split this into 3 films. I said that people need to look at the filmmaker Peter Jackson has become before going in with blind optimism. I am still talking on that basis.

I will see the film in less then 24 hours now. I wouldn't be paying If I didn't want to see it and I am quite excited for it, but also realistic. What bothers me is how just because people enjoyed the LOTR that they just ignore the signs. There is always an excuse. Now apparently the first film doesn't count without the other two.

There will be plenty who love this because it is simply more Middle-Earth and others who hate it for that very reason and will probably never see it.

Darth just likes to look on the dark side of things. Its likely is way to keep from getting dissapointed. He likely will support the film and fans will be the ones smashing the film.

Haven't they gone out of their way to make each Dwarf quite individual though. I thought that was the idea behind the vastly different looks and personalities.

Maybe. Maybe not. I know I am glad to have it on screen. And I remember back when LOTR came out people saying they would love to see Radagast on screen and the White Council. Funny how things change.

I realized that if we ever wanted to see the white council and radagast on screen it had to be with the hobbit. That appendices material isnt enough to make its own film. It would require the scriptwriters to make up a lot of their own stuff to pad out the film. So its either put that stuff with the hobbit, or make a film out of it and pad it with material that is made up by scriptwriters and not Tolkien. Personally Id rather have the stuff in the Hobbit.

Just curious on what others think without having to go though posts to find it.
I'm sure the lurkers will remain lurkers and only vote.
I can't wait either way, but I have to GAH

Rad as I call him somewhat reminds me more of Tom Bomberdil in looks anyways then how I imagined The Brown Wizard.

No you are quite right, I do not know what is in your will.

And if SW is your favorite trilogy, why isn't it the Force theme?

I lived through the dark times, the times of Attack of the Clones. Perhaps it is why I am so jaded. :csad:
