Marvel should take some of that 120mil they made off X3, and wave it in Hitch's face to draw faster...:(

This is at least the second time you've said this today. Knock it off. X3 sucked, yet broke box-office records, once again proving that PR rules all. And Hitch is VERY well paid already.

The movie sucked, it was merely 'ok'. :(

I said it once.

It didn't beat Sith's one day take, or Spidey's weekend take.

PR rules all?

I envy hitch. :(

Don't know if this had been posted yet, cover to Ultimates Annual #2

I love Deodato's art,but his Ultimate Cap is almost Hulk like.

Falcon looks like Blade with wings.

As long as the 2nd annual is not as crappy as the first, wow that was garbage

LOL! Dillion, his scarlet witch was so ugly, everyone looked the same.

Finch is the same way, everybody has the same face. Drives me nuts

The first annual was a great character study of Fury and his motives. The story was the saving grace, while Dillon's art totally ruined it.

Precisely. What makes Marvel think that Steve Dillon is a great superhero artist? Can he draw a character without using a horse as reference?

All of his characters look like him. They all have squinty eyes. But as is true for most artists, their own features are their template for their art.

Case in point, Rob Liefield in reality has a face like Pearlman's Vincent off Beauty and the Beast, wonky, overly bulbous quasi-muscular arms and no feet.

Can't believe the lack of Dillion love.

It makes me sad.

Dillion's MK Punisher is freakin awesome. It just fits for that book.

And I like Finch's art, it has been perfect for Moonknight.

Unlike the Ultimate X-Men Annual, which was the best Ult X-Men issue since Millar left years ago. :o

I agree, SoG, in fact I may go and read it RIGHT NOW...!

now that I think about it, I never read the first Ultimates Annual - what was the basic plotline? I heard there was a little about the hulk in there.

(I don't have any friends that buy comics :()

You know, from the plot outline I read, the anual sounds like a rip off of Denny O'Neil and Neal Adams' "Green Lantern/Green Arrow" series.

You obviously missed the boat on BKV's excellent run.

Millar is one of my favorite writers, but even I can admit his UXM was great only until the 6th issue. After that it was meaningless action in every single issue with everyone acting badass. The first arc definitely set the tone, but Mark has written far superior stuff compared to his UXM.

How is it a rip off?
