someone is suppose to die by the end of issue 12, right (millar interview in wizard)? anyone have have any ideas on who should be? i'm thinking that it's going to be hawkeye or black widow. i don't want to see any of the original six die (cap, thor, iron-man, wasp, giant-man, hulk) or scarlet witch.

Well, we can probably narrow down the competition based on who obviously wouldn't/couldn't die, as well as who we've seen in MAD's preliminary sketches. So breathe easily, for MAD did some Scarlet Witch designs.

Hawkeye. He's as good as dead. Everybody seems to have a MAD concept design but him...But you also have to take into account the non-superhuman characters. Betty could die. Maybe when Hulk comes back he kills her. Who knows.

Yeah, I guess I could probably see Hawkeye dying, either in action or killing himself after, considering his family just got offed. Although, if it is Hawkeye that dies, I guess the Ultimate universe does, kind of, follow the 616 around.

It'd be kinda lame to kill him off after he proved himself to be such a badass in #10.

I wonder how he will be introduced.
Introducing time traveling could make the ultimate line less ultimate.

yeagh, i don't think they would kill his family, and make you think he was dead, then bring him back sort of only to have him be tortured and hear them joke about how they murdered his family, and then have him escape only to have him get killed during the final battle.
Thats a little too much to do to one guy.

but I wouldent put it past them,its the ultimate U and just like real life,bad things will and have happend to good people but still I think hes going to be around for awhile,they "killed" him in 616 so its be repedative(dear I say) to do it in the ult U also.I do think tonys headed for the grave soon though.If its of the orginal six my moneys on the widow,if its not the orignal six my moneys on falcon.

No it wouldn't. Time travel is all over the place in Ultimate FF.

now that I think about it, I never read the first Ultimates Annual - what was the basic plotline? I heard there was a little about the hulk in there.

The Ultimates Annual sucked. The artwork was generic, the story was lame, the Hulk was mentionned for a fraction of a second, it's all about Fury being Fury and that's it.

I'm very disappointed in him. I thought he wrote his stuff ahead of time, but now it seems he's like George Lucas: He had YEARS to write the prequels, but he did it in a hurry at the last possible moment.

He's sick NOW, and for the last few weeks, but all 12 issues of Ultimates 2 should have been written LAST FREAKIN' YEAR!

I'm afraid you're wrong. The man's been sick since at least late last year. He announced in early November that he was taking a 6 month leave.

Fine, but Ultimates 2 started a hell of a long time ago. You'd think he would have written the whole story before the first issue was actually published, what was it, around TWO years ago?

What I don't understand is that he explicitly said that he had all of his scripts for the book completed before he took his sick leave. So he's contradicting himself by taking the hit for Hitch in that thread I linked to. Whatever - come next week it will be a moot point anyway.
