Fedor Emelianenko has been interviewed during the last M-1 Chalange event and he officially announced his retirement after his next fight against Pedro Rizo.

Best thing for him, he is irrelevant as far as MMA Heavyweights are concerned now & has been for about the past 6/7 years as far as I am concerned.

what?what?
Riiiight.
He fought Arlovski in 2009 (hate it all you want but Andrei was the consensus #2 heavyweight on the planet). Same thing with Barnett before being busted for PEDs. Both were ranked higher than the UFC's overrated champion in Lesnar. So Fedor was relevant.

Rory MacDonald called out BJ Penn.
He was only the consenus #2 to the same idiots that thought Fedor beating a middleweight, a guy that was 7ft in a freakshow fight & Tim Sylvia was enough to keep him cemented in the number #1 slot for 3 years after he'd been competing with the best heavyweights in the world at the time in Pride.
Fedor never fought Barnett so that's completely irrelevant.
Shogun vs. Vera? WTF is this ****? When Shogun's camp turned down the fight with Glover it was supposedly to fight a bigger name, but they pick Vera of all people? There is no Shogun nuthugger logic that can deny how questionable that is. Vera hasn't had a big name since 2007, and anyone who remembers him knows him as a guy who hasn't done a damn thing but lose after hyping himself up. This is a ******** move. If Shogun turned down Texeira for someone like Bader or Davis it would make sense, but taking on a guy who shouldn't even be in the UFC is just straight up ducking a harder fight for a gimme. I hope Vera beats Shogun. It would be funny as hell after this.

Dude, get over it.
Fedor was the number one HW on the planet and Arlovski was number two. That's that. You can't argue it. You can b***h about it, but the UFC's HW division was unproven and had an overrated champion.
I'm well over it, 6/7 years over to be precise seeing as that's when Fedor was last doing things that were relievant to MMA heavyweights. Maybe you should take your own advice & get over it.
I can argue it & I already have. In 2006 it might have been the case that Fedor & Arlovski were the #1 & #2 best heavyweights in the world, but in 2009 they certainly weren't.
Except they were in 2009. It was universal on every major MMA publication site. The highest Brock ever got was #3. Deal with it.
