Jean seems to be solidly in love with Scott in UXM, and their relationship is good, as long as she stays emotionally stable I don't think anyone, let alone Xavier or Logan, can come into the picture and ruin them in near future, that is, if the writers don't make Jean turn into a flip-out after resolving the goblin mystery, but somehow, they seem to believe that if they don't involve Jean with Phoenix then we'll all not happy about it.

Yeah I know. I have yet to see anyone who isn't tired of the Phoenix storyline. Okay, we get it, Marvel. :whatever:

And I think the only reason Scott and Jean have a semi-stable relationship is because of Beast's death. With the team splitting up, his return shouldn't affect them too much, but remember how it used to be with Logan sniffing around her all the time? The attempt on Scott's life? The hints dropped by Spiral during The Most Dangerous Game (and we still don't know whether Jean was referring to Logan or Xavier at that point in time)? I don't like the way the Logan/Ororo relationship was worked out, but I'm grateful it got the runt away from Jean.

Don't remind me of that part, I was never so pissed off at Wolverine like that time, and the issue where he tried to off Scott had me fuming for so long.

Hardly think it's possible that Jean'll ever trust Logan that much to let him get near her again, or would make the same mistake and choose someone like him over Scott, but hey, that assumption's based on Jean won't turn into a flip-out, if the writers still decide to let Phoenix mess with her, well...

Couldn't agree with you more. :woot:

But what worries me isn't Wolverine. He seems to be pretty busy with Storm atm. I'm much more worried about Xavier. Besides what has happened in the past-her calling him 'Charles', Xavier possibly being the shadowy figure that was never revealed after she blew up the helicopter, maybe even it being Xavier that Jean was thinking about when Spiral asked her that question, and Xavier revealing he loves her-I'm more worried that either:
1) The writer(s) will decide to force these two together whenever Xavier returns, since Jean won't be able to fight her 'true' feelings anymore. :cmad:
or
2) As you say, Jean will go all Phoenixy and, well, from there who knows what could happen. :csad:

In that case, I'll be very very disappointed at Jean, pissed at the writers who dare to come up with this kind of crap, steal Xavier's wheelchair and hope to see Scott get together with Wanda (or any other girl) for a change.

It would be really un-alternative if they still shove Phoenix down our throat, but it's probably a more possible way the writers choose.

What can I say? I guess I've just been pretty jaded by my favorite couples in fiction the past few years. I grew up a Jott fan, and you know how that went in 616. My other favorite character was Spider-Man, and it looks like he very well might be single by the end of the year. I've been a huge Star Wars fan since I was little, but after what's happened to that universe, and the writers killing one of my favorite characters (who happens to be the wife of my very favorite character) in the latest book, I'm done with that franchise. I guess now I just automatically expect the worst to happen...:oldrazz:

They'd better. This is the perfect moment for Cyke to shine, and I really don't want him to get shoved into the background again. And I swear if they don't hurry up and resolve the Jean issue (and I don't want to wait for Issue 100 if that's their plan) I'm giving up on them. Ultimate Jean has become even more embarassing than 616 Jean, which I honestly didn't think could happen. :csad:

No clue when Kitty will be back. Last I saw she got her butt kicked by Ultimate Ronin. :whatever: Someone get her some ninja training, stat! :woot:
:p ROFL!

At least the folks in 616 understood rather quickly that playing craddle robber with one's own spiritual daughter was bloody creepy. :wow: :wow: :wow:

What helicopter? Spiral? Was this after Phinox arc or before?

When Xavier told Jean he loved her at the end of Issue 71 and she responded with, "Charles?" I pray that what she really meant was,

"OMFGwhatthehelliswrongwithyouyoufilthyoldpervert!!!!" :woot:

God I hope so. I'm still actively trying to block out the notion of Jean ever reciprocating in any universe. :wow:

Jean blew up a helicopter carrying two anti-mutant terrorists way back in Issue #39, during the Blockbuster arc. Afterwards she was calmed down by Xavier, and at the end of the issue someone, it wasn't revealed who, talked to her saying that he'd (I'm assuming it was a male) would always be there for her. It was never revealed who it was, but there are several possibilities, all of which have problems. Xavier, but the speaker mentioned 'the Professor'. Wolverine, but he was shown soon after sitting outside the window, so it would have been almost impossible for him to sneak out.

The other incident, the talk with Spiral, occurred during The Most Dangerous Game, Issue #57 to be precise.

Jean: You had an affair with a married man? While you were still dating Longshot?

Spiral: Don't sound so self-righteous, child. Are you honestly telling me your heart has never beat for two different men at the same time?

Jean: Of...of course not.
At that point, it's most likely they were referencing the Scott/Jean/Logan triangle that had been a big part of the books, but we'll see where the books go from here.

I guess if one faces this kind of situation, their brain might be able to form these words but definitely failed to connect them to their mouth.

Yeah, I remember that now. For the most part.

Spiral, six armed chick? Yeah, I remember her now too. It never said her name tho did it, she was just a 616 person.

I don't know if she ever said her name, but in the flashback Longshot calls her Spiral.

I definitely agree about the artwork on Jean. Above all, her hair has gone through more changes throughout the books than any other. I really hated the look they gave her in the first arcs.

I was actually in favor of seeing Scott/Wanda at the time, but I'm not so sure now after all the hints of Pietro/Wanda that have been dropped. That's just too :wow: for me. To be honest, I was really pulling for Scott/Ororo when the book first came out. This was a different Storm, and it seemed like these two actually could work out. And if you look, there is quite a bit of interaction in the opening arcs. (Plus, I have to admit I was influenced by Minisinoo's writings. :oldrazz: She's definitely one of the best fanfic writers I know, and the only Ult. X one.)

Thats what I remember. And for some reason the art in that particular issue made Jean look like she was in her late 30's

probly so it didnt freak people out that she was ( i wanna say 16 lol) and logan is 100+ lol

Along with her looks and, apparently, parentage, Jean's age is another of the things about her that the writers can't seem to agree on. In the opening arc, Wolverine said she was 19. In Hellfire & Brimstone, Xavier said she was 18. Strangely enough, this was Mark Millar contradicting himself! :oldrazz:

That's why Wanda needs to date other men. :oldrazz: So does Pietro.

About Scott and Ororo, um...I'm more for Hank/Ororo you know, but I absolutely agree with you on the part of Minisinoo being one of the best fanfic writers.

Agree with Hank/Ororo for Ult. canon, since the way things went Scott/Ororo wouldn't make much sense now. But have you read any of Min's Elk River Saga? That's what sold me on S/O to begin with, and it's just a shame she never got around to writing the final, post-Weapon-X parts.
